mark is just some random guy really. while robert and mike are nothing alike. if anything, mike is the type of guy robert thinks/wishes he could be lol. but thats about it. mike doesnt try to manipulate Lena into going out with him. lena settles for robert, just wants to get laid. with mike, she actually likes him cause unlike robert, he's portrayed to be more attractive and cool. dont understand how you see the two as alike in anyway besides eva using the same scenes for both at times lol

i have been playing this game for some time and every time i think something went wrong i only now realized its a fake out so yes
not so much that they're alike as that they're just all bland and boring

It's one of the skippable updates. It's a preview for the actual update. Just a small Lena / Ivy scene.
That's large part of it, but there's another important thing, and that's Ian choosing the option to "draw boundaries" when discussing their relationship (the smarts option) before Cindy leaves for her photoshoot trip. Combined these make Cindy have restraint and keep Axel from crossing too many lines.

Someday, if I'm brave enough, there could be a different path than Ian and Lena! I've tried, really hard, but it always ends with Ian and Lena. I truly hope Eva gives them the feelgood ending they deserve—a wedding, a pregnancy, Lena's mother healthy again, and all that wonderful stuff. You could always think of it like one of those heroic "jump on a grenade to save lives" move.
