I actually brought up the difference with that sad Gillian/normal Gillian look long ago. Whether it is intended for a subtle plot or not, we will find out I guess. I mean in the end it's only resulting in +1 relationship for accepting the coffee "date"?

She was always low in my book and rankings. She never struck me as a good friend, but a hater of anything that doesn't involve partying and sex. Since often compared to Jess in GGGB...Jess was at least straightforward, and someone you could "reform". But in all paths I've tried so far (not claiming all of them), Ivy does Lena dirty in some way, keeping secrets about Lena's ex, constantly shitting on Louise (even if Louise can be a basket-case at times), the whole thing with Jeremy (even if, to be fair, at first she didn't know anything). Then, of course, her questionable tastes in partners (the whole model agency and that billy clown oooof).
Jess could go down a bad path... but overall she had decent tastes in men, at least when it comes to looks, charisma, and sexual prowess. You could understand her hanging out with the likes of Jack and Tyrone.
So far I've only had one real "use" for Ivy... and it was to help corrupt Holly down the lesbian/bisexual path for the benefits of Lena (and Ian in some plays).
