I'm a little confused about that... I'm new...
Is this version different from the paid Steam version?
Completely different. It is a release that was addressed to us, the ones that consider that EK is talented, but is fucking around too much to pay her.

It was an amazing societal reflection, very pertinent, and with a passage into the genre (not so great but I am all about genre).

People that have just played the update and not the pirate one are missing the best thing EK has ever published.

Not fappable at all though.

But then, I have never fapped on EK.

Vanilla paths are beautifully written, but too vanilla to be fappable, and the slut paths are poorly written and I don't fap on poorly written junk.

Not gonna lie, I like the set-up of Good Jess being frustrated with Dave and Ivy drugging her (with Lena being an accomplice) and having her relapse and turn into Bad Jess, in contrast to how Bad Jess starts to turn into Good Jess, developing a healthy relationship with Ian.
Hi!
Unfortunately have to disagree with you here. I greatly dislike this trope, given how Jess and Dave were really good for each other and fitted well in GGGB. That is super-lazy by EK to bring in this like a filler for an unneeded part of the game. This whole photo shot is unnecessary for the story progression, since it is only about a couple characters.

Couldn't agree more. I've written this before, but if this update was a prologue to an update, then this would be the best release since Chapter 9, as an hors d'oeuvre to incredible things coming up in the next few days.

Unfortunately, this is the update. Full. anything new will be after some of us have retired.

EK is just losing herself on the slut path and keeping on the slooooooooowburn on anything really half interesting.

Pretty sad actually.

Jess and Daves relationship didn't matter in this game until now, so its welcoming that its finally addressed AND that we can interfere with it in a meaningful way, following the games trend of corruption (or improvement of your relationship in the case of Bad Jess).

Regardless of the mansion chapter being needed or not, its there and rather than ignoring it or wishing it to be removed, improving and adding to it by further by having Lena being more involved with Jess life is a plotline with potential and rewards.

But if you just dislike the entire chapter and don't or can't discuss it, there is nothing more to it.

Hi!
Jess and Dave were part of the few good endings GGGB had. It was very clear that these two fitted together really well. Personally I feel that EK should have kept Jess, Dave, Nat and the others simply Cameos. There as a nod to GGGB, but no substantial interaction.
As for the chapter itself, I consider it more superfluous than any other chapter before storywise, but it is at least an escape from some other characters like Louise or Cindy.

I think it's fine that we can see the relationship from previous game continue in a natural manner instead of "and then they lived happily ever after" and being given ability to either help it flourish again, or affect it negatively (or leave it run its natural course) In a way, this extends the GGGB experience.

Why do you say hi? We both frequent this thread and you already responded to me.

Then you can just ignore Jess or simply convince her to stay with Dave? I never suggested that Ivy and Lena drugging Jess should be forced, it would clearly be a choice indicating an evil/debauched Lena who refreshes her friendship with Ivy after the recent drama. Jess is established for plenty of chapters, so suddenly ignoring her plotline and not giving her any more scenes would make them even more redundant. Good Jess was lacking development, so the recent chapter just gave an opening I consider worth exploring.

Another point to consider: If Good Jess breaks up with Dave and is on good terms with Ian, she can be open to date him, something that's currently not possible.

What is there to say. I suggest how to expand on Jess and chapter 13 content and your reply is that you aren't interested in Jess nor chapter 13 categorically, so there is only so much I can to elaborate on my ideas and only so little you can respond to.

Hi!

The chapter is fine as an introduction to new characters and potential relationships. We're dipping toes into the ending sequence of the game though so the introduction just waters down the potency of pre-existing storylines.
Why can't new relationships and pre-existing ones develop side by side?

In theory, nothing prevents that. It makes for a great story and rewards playing differently.

In practice, the branching is already complex as is. The fewer the characters and more spread out they are from one another, the easier it is to deal with them and vice versa. It creates a situation where EK has to either prioritize leading to multiple chunks of the plot ignored because the right characters can't fit in within a chapter's given context or compromise and create inconsistencies in the story.

I see your point, still I am more of the "games should stay seperated unless it´s a series" type.

Chapter 13 introduces new characters I fear will be underutilised in the remaining chapters and water down the relations of the already established characters and their stories. We already have too few development for some characters there from the start.
Well, one girl I see as Lena´s "Ivy Ersatz" on some paths if Ivy becomes even more toxic than she already has become.
ORS is already complex, with some characters on the longterm backburner. Chapter 13 introduces more characters which do not seem to be meant as "1 scene/chapter" characters, but being in the game for the rest of it. I consider this foolish, because it takes away from the main cast, which was already big.
Chapter 13 has Lena, Ivy and Jess out in the woods, so to speak, with storylines which either have to be closed up at the end of the chapter or go on into the other ones and cost time.
Do we really need this? This represents months of work which could have been better used on the major plot- and romance lines. Billy, a throwaway side character being gay is not something we needed to know in all detail. This is worktime which could have been put into e.g. the Seymour or Ian/Lena storylines. The best thing about the photo shot of ch.13 is that we can get Holly away from Ivy´s influence during her absence on the Ian side of the game. There are variables for this, looking forward to ch.14.

Game is constantly crashing on windows version. It can crash during the starting loading or in every second during the game (rollback crash and ignore start a new save). The crash report are never the same. I don't use any mod, clean all save in roaming file, try different link to redl. Played every version and never had a problem and this one is impossible. Anyone has a clue?

Haven't played in probably 3 or 4 updates. Where are we regarding Cindy and Alison?
Cindy had a decent commitment scene with Ian in chapter 13, else a short scene with Axel after the breakup.
Alison had a scene in chapter 13, though it didn't advance much aside from further solidifying the relationship.

They are likely not appearing in the current chapter 14, which centers around Lena at Billys mansion.

Is there a path where Lena can spend her second night at Billy's party with Mike while being in a sexless relationship with cuck Ian? In my playthrough, she got mad at Mike at the club and doesn't even have the love option to send him a photo in this update while she's at the party.
Anyone pls?

A lot of the new characters being introduced in later chapter seem to me like they're gonna get the Kevin/Ryan/Doug treatment from GGGB, in that they're introduced late in the story so there's not much time to develop them, but they're not meant to be side characters either, so they just end up feeling like undercooked main characters.

It's been a long time but hello to everyone again. During the early summer, when we collectively realized chapter 14 wouldn't come out for several months, I took a break from F95 (since this is the only game conversation I actively follow here) and didn't exactly forget about ORS, just didn't check on it until earlier this month.
Yeh, same-ish. I join a bit sometimes after an update or when I been playing and wanna ask or share or vent but soon as I get busy a day or two it gets away from me.
I think with threads like this, or like Carnations and Null Hypothesis, it's so active and has terribly twisted tindividuals ;) regularly there, developing long-running discussions, jokes, etc. that you gotta choose either keeping up with the thread or the entire forum.
I mean unless, you know... you fapping fa9 to fa5

I don't remember ever getting this ending! It's been a couple years, maybe I should play thru again. Better yet someone shoudl do like a revamp or new art or something
