Just Lena on the cuck path, or Lena on the cheating path without the 3-some kink, really.Any guide / criteria? Can't seem to get this
I know it does no sound like much, but EK's pretty fucked up that way.
Just Lena on the cuck path, or Lena on the cheating path without the 3-some kink, really.Any guide / criteria? Can't seem to get this
This is getting very interesting.Quite literally, no:
You set Lena's passion in Ch.3, like you mention. And before that, Lena's "canonical" passion is, wait for it...Python:i "What about you, Lena? What are you passionate about?" l "Me? Oh..." menu: "Writing songs": $ lena_passion = "song" //... "Enjoying life": $ lena_passion = "life" //... "Modeling": $ lena_passion = "model" //... "Making money": $ lena_passion = "money"
... that's right, she doesn't have a canonical passion. At least not anymore. That variable could just as easily start as "song" if what you believe was true. It does not.Python:default lena_passion = "n"
Note, even if it was a default preset, it wouldn't really mean anything in this context. Present Lena is what the players make her. (and those choices shape her past as well as her present) Thus, the talk how she is always some sort of domesticated nerdy song-writer who would never want cock, this is something you potentially set for her in the game, or you don't. If you don't, this doesn't somehow make it a non-Lena behavior. It's just behavior of that particular Lena. In the same way you shape Ian into a chad or a "nice guy", a cheater or a faithful lover, someone with interest in martial arts or someone who couldn't care less.
Now, you are right that Lena does talk about song-writing as her real interest very early in the game. But given how things change afterwards, i think this is more likely just an early draft that EK has changed her mind on later, and that early dialogue never got adjusted to account for it.lena_passionas variable only got introduced in Ch.3, which is probably when EK came up with this idea. Lena's background similarly appears as a variable even later, in Ch.12.
I understand that you feel the writing for the slut path is over the top, and it's to the point where you'd mention lack of realism, first in general and then limited specifically to Lena's core character. But, well. I think we'll just have to disagree here. While excessive purple prose is not my sort of thing and yes, i might find it silly myself, i also accept this is more of intentional exaggeration. Just like romance path has its own share of exaggerated lovey-dovey monologues... except those are apparently easier to swallow (but no doubt, some find it just as boring as "cock cock cock, rawr")
I agree to a lot of the things you are saying here, however I am getting tired to have to specify one thing, that even the more brightest minds on this forum don't seem to get:Passions and realities are often not the same. I agree she is passionate about it, but is also working non stop at the beginning of the game trying to keep her head above water, with sick parents etc., she is stressed out and needs a little fun too.
She also doesn't have her old songs (held captive by evil Axel) or a guitar at the start.
I like that she can have both a passion for an artistic pursuit, and a lust for cock! I think that is also what ffive is getting at.
The level of the writing is subjective, you may not like it, others may love it, just like characters in the game have their own fan groups and haters. It isn't easy writing for a broad audience, and EK's own preferences shape the story. You may be right that there wasn't as much effort put into the writing on certain paths, or it could just be your own prefrence in writing. The fact that we argue about it shows it's at least engaging.
Too often the standard for what is hot for a male character is way different than for a female character. The social norms for men and women dictate what beliefs we have about what roles each should have. So a male character can have a harem in a game, and if it's written ok with acceptable art it's very popular. The same on the female side makes her a slut, or on the slut path, which is negative most of the time, bad endings, etc. It's hard to break free of this double standard, both in the games and in our brains.
Thanks a lot! URM works well, easy to use & while on different choices it letting you to go through flags that corresponding current choices if they shown & just greyed out. I was bothered of idea of replaying current version of game 3rd time while being almost on same path, just to find some minor switch I've been missing. Using full pdf guide ofc may be helpful, but not always, not mentioning it takes much more time to figure out things. This should help you.
It's probably my bad for arranging my reply in this way (perhaps i should've started with acknowledging that what you said about Lena's behavior was true and make the point about later additions being apparent counter to it?) but it wasn't in bad faith. It basically boils down to what you say, though -- i think it's just easier for me to accept the idea ORS can be inconsistent in some places as a result of ongoing development (EK tends to revise even earlier chapters, mostly with bug fixes, months/years after they're released) so if such contradiction happens in the game it's also easier for me to revise interpretation of earlier stuff that gets contradicted with something developed later. This is getting very interesting.
I have caught you, not just offguard, but showing bad faith. Boooh.
Your "literally no" is about sth I DO mention which happens FAR later in the game.
And then you get back to my main point, just undermining it: "Now, you are right that Lena does talk about song-writing as her real interest very early in the game. "
Cooooomon.
You make it a detail, while this is my main point.
The main point being, EK losing her shit and becoming inconsistent.
Let's just say that, in spite of your admirable technical precision, you are FAR more tolerant on artistic inconsistency than I am.
Still look up to u thu.
Since Louise moved to her parent's house, she has had way less interaction with Lena. Even by way of phone call. The "relationship" between her and Lena was never taken seriously by Lena anyways. And also with Louise's attention shifting to Ian, I suspect it might not get much better on the Lena path though...The three of them might still have another threesome...Yeah scratch that last part. It's not gonna happen again. Louise is coo coo for Coco Pops and wants to be Ian's girlfriend even going as far as telling Ian to break up with Lena if they are togetherDose anyone knows what just happen to the Lena Louise path?
Calm down my friend, I didn't disagree with anything you said or tell you that your preference was wrong. Read and comprehend before claiming you are being attacked or misunderstood.Again and again and again, my problem here is not moral, it is artistic.
Avoid anyone that has anything that has to do with Club Lena works at for one night. It limits who Lena can hookup with, but there is still Robert, Axel, Seymour, Louise, Holly.. etc.Is there any oblivious Ian path? Like, any branch where Jeremy doesn't tell Ian that Lena likes to sleep around.
The WIP Gallery entries are not coded in the game yet, it means they will be available in a later release. The scene is in the game, you just need full slut Lena that is cheating on Ian or cucking him, or not with him at all, all the drugs, a decent relationship with Mike and Jeremy. If Ian/Lena are in a relationship Ian needs to get pissed at Jeremy when he tells you Lena gets around, which requires Ian/Jeremy relationship less than perfect. Can someone tell me which route to take to see this picture? I've tried the route many times but still haven't seen this picture
We can assume it will happen yes, like in GGGB.Do you guys know/think we're going to be able to have Ian and Lena be able to move out and live together soon? As I seem to recall that's a potential thing you can already set up on the IanXAllison path if I'm not mistaken?
So it'll surely be something we're going to be getting on this path soon as well right?
The end of last chapter, with Ian, had a lot of setup for Ian finally moving out on his own; potentially with most of his love interests. Ian made a pretty definitive statement with Allison on her love route. Holly, Bad Jess, and Emma have all made comments about wanting to change their living situations so they are in play to move in with him. Wade has moved out of Cindy's apartment, so it's possible for Ian to move in with her. Similarly with Cherry and her apartment. There is potentially trouble with Lena's living situation with the rent increase and the way Stan dropped the news on Lena and Louise. That could be an excuse for her to leave and move in with Ian. Of all of Ian's current LIs Minerva is the one that is in the most difficult position to live with as she's still married.Do you guys know/think we're going to be able to have Ian and Lena be able to move out and live together soon? The funniest development in this regard would be Perry kicking Ian out if you helped him get it on with Emma, because his new girlfriend needs/deserves her own room to live after losing her previous arrangement. No good deed goes unpunished, etc.Emma
Avoid as in pertaining to chapter 11, or avoid them in general throughout the game?Avoid anyone that has anything that has to do with Club Lena works at for one night. It limits who Lena can hookup with, but there is still Robert, Axel, Seymour, Louise, Holly.. etc.
Mostly in the sense of not invoking any sex scenes which take place at the club, although in case of Axel this is more generic, and triggers if Lena didn't get over him (her "axel desire" flag is active) since this causes her to automatically let Axel fuck her when she meets him at the club.Avoid as in pertaining to chapter 11, or avoid them in general throughout the game?
