irst I do research and pick out the best reference photos to illustrate the scene I have in mind, decide how many illustrations I will use per scene and then proceed to draw them.

Her taste in porn photos is probably one of the few things I'd nitpick about with EvaKiss, if her "reference" material is anything to go by. I hope she watches some of the work done by the better studios out there. I find it jarring that a story so grounded in being a slice of modern life has characters that have fake-looking porn-sex. Like, when she relied heavily on tracing, you've got scenes in GGGB where Ashley or her partner "spikes the camera", which is one of my pet peeves because it breaks the spell. There are some studios out there that do a good job of somewhat "de-pornifying" their scenes, and I do hope EvaKiss gets her reference material from their work.

Now to be fair I went in HATING the dude, mainly because he is a black guy, and I know how hard Evakiss pushes interacial couples in her games based on GGGB, or at least black guys (fucking Tyrone)....After 0.1 I was like "DAYUMM !! Jeremy is a bro, I like him, my favorite of Ian's friends !!"

I didnt play the game till v0.3Full, and now I am back to hating him... if you chose to "flirt with Allison", the dude fucking encourages Ian !! saying "Allison needs to get laid, she's been hounding me too, but YOU go for it bro"... yet if you pick that option, the asshole tries to "compete" with Ian to fuck Allison first.... WTF ??

Yes I know "apologists" are gonna say Ian can win if you just follow Allison to the bar for drinks... WHY ?? It would make sense for Ian to do Perry a solid, and try to get him to break the ice with Cherry, and THEN leave to find Allison... but if you do that "man-god" Jeremy wins the night, and takes Allison for himself, and if Ian doesnt change to Cherry "pronto" he goes home a loser.

Again if he wanted Allison first, and said as much, I would have made Ian back-off and focus on Holly/Lena, or even Cherry for that night... what pisses me off is he basically did a "backstab". He was all like "go get her bro... but secretly I am gonna do everything in my BBC power to get her first, aint I cool ?".

Also the plot development with Cindy was crap to me... she seems like she is tired of the "shallow" relationship she has with Wade (arguably the most handsome of Ian and his friends, not counting Jeremy), and wanted a deeper connection, she goes the bar with Ian... and immediately acts like a bitch in heat for Axel... and LORD HAVE MERCY if you make Ian grow a backbone and tell him off, cause it will cost you IanXCindy points...

Also 4 of the 5 hottest girls in the game think Jeremy is Adonis or some shit...and that annoys me too...

1. Ivy - already wet for him... playing hard to get, she finds out he is a scummy cheater, and just says "i'll make it harder for him, but I still want to bounce my perfectly toned ass on his BBC".... arggghhh

2. Loise - the sexy goth girl just HAD to be fucking Jeremy of all people, of course it had to be him... and boy is she madly in "wuvs" with him... poor stupid girl...

3. Allison - its obvious that unless Ian acts aggressively infatuated with her, she'd be riding the BBC every chance she got... Ian is her silver medal, but she was really into Jeremy

4. Lena - this one is optional, but she has the chance of drooling over BBC during the peerking incident... luckily this one I can block, and made her focus on the sexier Lousie rather than on the garbage cliche.

The 5th girl on the hottest list is Cindy, but the only reason she isnt drooling over Jeremy is probably cause they havent been in the same screen yet... given how moist she got over Axel, I'm betting she'd do the same over Jeremy.

Well, from looks of it you'll be able to turn into a player and steal from Jeremy just as well as you could have Jeremy get the jackpot which is perfect. I'm personally setting up Jeremy with the four of them and letting MC go for Cindy. So I don't think any chicks are off the table for MC except for Minerva, but i'm sure she'll get development as well. Just depends on choices and lining em up.

I kinda feel like 1 month is not enough for a chapter of this magnitude. Evakiss shouldn’t be constrained to the deadline but should strive to complete whatever she wants to do for each chapter.

But I feel like patreon makes her feel like she need to deliver something monthly.

Yeah, it's really weird to judge the main character in a game where your choices define him. I guess Ian is guilty of being a geek and second-guessing himself but those things don't make someone a cuck.

I also suspect it might be the issue of perfectionism and not being able to let go. Or it could be that I'm simply projecting. It's just that sometimes you are more comfortable either working alone or overseeing every little step in every direction. When you work on something of your own and are a perfectionist, you want this something to be of outstanding quality and also to make sure that it matches your vision, etc. It's a problem when you're one person in charge because you feel responsible for everything. Major or even indie game studios have the luxury of having different roles - there's a creative director, a game director, a narrative director, an art director, sound director etc. When you are all of those things - it's a nightmare for a perfectionist. And, paradoxically, it's also a curse that a perfectionist feels the need to be all those things, despite perhaps not being the most efficient this way.

I think it is more about control. She would have to give up control of her game if she shares writing or art. What happens if 6 months down the line her colorist decides to jump ship? She would have to frantically find another one whos work looks somewhat like the old one or try to do it herself. If you have to churn out a chapter every month it is a bit terrifying to depend on other people. People you just know over the internet.

Running a team also has its own set of problems. Tasks can't easily be divided. If you divide writing, characters might feel different in scenes written by different people. They would have to read each other scenes and correct them which costs extra time. If you divide art, characters will look different which feels off (for an example look at Seeds of Chaos).
You have to explain to people what you want. Then you have to check if they got it right and if not you have to tell them what to change.

Finally there are finances. EvaKiss makes 6-9k a month which is a nice income for one person. Not so much for a team of 5.

I think mainly it could be a L2P issue... Harem-type of games have caused many players to be used to a style of play where it doesn't really matters what choices you take, the MC sooner or later will get all the girls; but here if you're not slightly careful with your choices you can end up with an Ian that's more shy, indecisive or even wimpy. And more than that -in part due to the fact that Ian isn't by default a sex God with a 12" cock, a multimillionare inheritance, and some mind control superpowers as cherry on the top-, your choices to pursue one girl can (and more than probably will) hurt your progress with others, you can't have your cake and eat it too: it's gonna be hard to build an harem in ORS, and that if is possible at all...

I will also like to point out that making possible for Ian/Lena to fail at many levels (sexually, professionally, or even playing pool) is not only there to satisfy those interested in certain fetishes, but also -and I'll dare say, mainly- as a conscious design choice. And imho a good one. Success is more meanigful if the stakes are high, the possibility of failure has to be there to make achieving your goals more rewarding. No one is saying making this a Demon's Souls experience, but I for one am happy with having "bad" outcomes from wrong choices. If, for example, no matter what lyrics Lena choose her song is a hit, what's the meaning of choosing at all?

LOL!!! No. I only ever played the lesbian paths, and even with the reference photos she traced over in the Ash x Jess path, which is (IMO) the most romantic of the romantic paths and requires both girls to be relatively good... you still get such fake, porny scenes like the following...

Yes, my reasoning was pretty similar, I was just trying to be nice. However, I really doubt it's about finances. Definitely wouldn't want to accuse Eva Kiss of being greedy bc there are less noble ways to increase income without being so tough on oneself yet she never disappoints. No amount of money could make me drive myself into insanity by working almost 24/7 in crunch mode (and judging by the amount of work she has to do, it's probably the case) as I'd like to have some time off just to enjoy myself doing other stuff other than work or just let my brain cool down for a bit. 6-9k a month is a really nice income for one person but we don't really know how much it costs to commission the coloring and compose the original soundtrack. If she can get to 15k a month then I think she could at least hire a part-time coder to tackle the chore that comes with technical stuff (that respectfully, isn't her strongest suit).

Some decisions made by the dev are definitely tied to her financial situation and the patreon income. Back in the early GGGB days she mentioned she was supposed to have a person help her out with the coding, but since she was able to handle it, she opted out of sharing the cash. Her decision to stretch out GGGB's story was also somewhat money related. Most players know there wasn't much substance in the late updates compared to earlier ones. Eva Kiss axed the last announced dlc update for GGGB, and forced ORS' release because she was bleeding patrons after 1.0 to the point she lost about almost 1/3 of her supporters.

ORS appears to be a more ambitious project and I expect for her either to shell out for some additional help or move to bi-monthly update cycle down the line.
