Yeah instead of grifting a few million dollars from Netflix, I'll settle for getting a Patreon on the same level as certain other Koi games that never fucking update.
I have not played the prologue remake but I blame the start - the memes in the beginning can also be off putting to some people (it was for me). I almost ended up dropping the game and I would have dropped it if the person that recommended it to me had not encouraged me to continue. I have since recommended it to others on places like reddit and I have found that a lot of people dropped it because of the same reasons.

Getting people to read the VN for a few hours until we get to the good fantasy bits is challenging. Most people just dont have the patience or think that continuing is worth it because they do not know how much better it gets. But I think if you can get past the that many people will like the game and support it financially. I never considered supporting the game for the first several hours of playing but by the time I was done I became a patron. I am not a high tier supporter or anything but it felt wrong playing this for free by the time I was done.

I am being a bit redundant here given my very first post on this thread was bitching about this exact thing (https://f95zone.to/threads/out-of-touch-v2-70-1-story-anon.67494/post-10447829) but it is really annoying to me when semi-abandoned trash gets more support than a game like this. I get that people can and should do what they want with their money but even so it is annoying.

I have to agree with that one... beginings are curcial. I don't think this one is super terrible, but it doesn't give a fully accurate first impression of what the game actually is... I can see people dropping this because they think it's gonna be a parody or a meme-y avn. I hate to beat on a dead horse, but I can't stress enough how hard my eyes rolled up all the way to the back of my skull with that chad thundercock meme... I really loved the VA though.

Yeah but it's true to the spirit of what OoT is. It's not all serious drama it's taking the piss out of itself.
The chad meme is also a head nod to the original joke of the game being the Chad vs Virgin meme with Jamie and CJ,until Jamie became a real girl that is.

I had commented once before about the early part of the game being confusing but the prologue rework did an excellent job clearing things up. The writing of this game has always been really clever but it has just improved with time.

when is the android version going to be 64-bit? As time goes on, Google's going to keep removing 32-bit support...

It's probably on the tech docket for one day, but there's a lot more things that are higher priority. Like fully implementing combat .

So just played through this an well I have to say that the story is fairly engaging mostly all fun and jokes at first but then get's more and more serious and philosophical. There are some parts that I am guessing are mistakes in the writing like for instance in the hot spring part (can't remember the exact chapter) Leah will mention she has no mother even though her mother is like the biggest part of her story. Vic will at one point mention the rape + rape attempt happened when she was 13 and then later on it was when she was 14, most likely changed because if not Chad would have been 12 when it happened so changing it up a year would make him 13 and now 18 while most of the girls were 14 and now 19 as mentioned in other places or how in chapter 38 it starts with a big screen of "8 MONTHS LATER" only to if you check out Vic's side story 3 that you can check out a few mins later she will mention she's surprised it's "only been a month" since Chad got back. Which makes the 8 months later kinda ridiculous since since it had already been like 3 weeks since the "time skip" so instead it seems like the time skip was only a week but it was written as being 8 months. But thats probably mostly misses in the writing or changed parts that just hasn't been fixed yet.

Some other parts are just kinda weird or sort of glossed over but in my opinion makes me question the plot or world building which is never really a good thing to be honest, though it usually happens when I am fairly engaged / invested in a story which is also a good sign that it is making me interested.

Going into spoiler territory ahead so spoilers :D

Seeing as how much I've already written I'd just like to add that with how the story is structured and plays out I am honestly surprised that this is only tagged as male protagonist since while the game is centered around Chad the MC most of the game so far plays out from the perspective of the girls and each arc so far has revolved around one of the girls and her background story though the latest one is implied to be about the MC and one of the girls. But with that said I believe most of the game so far revolves around us being a third party observer that mostly jumps between all the party members while the free roaming parts has mostly had us play as one of the girls. So there should probably be a female protag tag on here as well just for good measure.

Saying "I have no mother/father/sister/etc" is a common English idiom that means you've essentially disowned them.

Everybody in that conversation understood she didn't mean it literally.

how in chapter 38 it starts with a big screen of "8 MONTHS LATER" only to if you check out Vic's side story 3 that you can check out a few mins later she will mention she's surprised it's "only been a month" since Chad got back. Which makes the 8 months later kinda ridiculous since since it had already been like 3 weeks since the "time skip" so instead it seems like the time skip was only a week but it was written as being 8 months.
All of the Ch38 side stories take place during the time skip. That's why Jamie's hair is halfway in length between her old hair and her new hair (and she takes CJ's recommendation to grow it out more), and why every side story says it's been X amount of time since Ch37.

In the story I don't think it's ever really explained exactly whar Cro did to him when he asked for immortality.
It has not been explained how she did that yet, as Cro has been on speaking terms with CJ again for all of one chapter now. Nobody during Ch22 was preocupied with the how, as they were busy trying to either save Jamie or not get turned into a monster.

I honestly don't know but again to build an empire from scratch and then to develop a new field of reasearch? I would say at least 10-20 years minimum to even get started.
Cro did what she did to Hayato when Jamie's father was a baby. The next time we see him, Jamie's father is in his mid-twenties. And per his own words, he didn't have to do much himself. He just benefited financially from it and then reinvested.

Then on top of that the grandpa decides to dable into the supernatural and supossedly just gathers random information from whoever is willing to then start to teach himself about it all then for whatever reason is a savant in the area and develops magic that let's him spy on the universe and thousands of other worlds and their history and this is without him being able to go to the other side to dilute time or at least it's implied it's that way since he cannot reach or even tries until later when he starts finding out doom approaching their world.
The fact that he could see Cro at all would indicate he had a natural predisposition to spiritual power, this coupled with having quite a bit of free-time and almost unlimited funding led to him making a large amount of progress over the next 25+ years.

This again would take an immense amount of time since it's explained that how it was done was by bringing men close to the portal and then have his 4-5 maids have sex with them which would lead to their deaths. Which again makes me question this since the amount of time it would take is again pretty long. I mean I have no idea how many people per day he could sacrifice but if we say it's about maybe 20 per day if there were 20 000 people sacrificed it would take something like 27-28 years if it was done very single day.
Did you miss the part where the people on the other end of that portal were 99.99% of that? The city that Ch22 takes place in is nearly depopulated, and the half-souls they became would throw themselves into the massive rift in the crater.
That was his plan.

On top of that how would he even hide it? Like it was mentioned a lot of the people sacrificed were rich and powerful but also people in debt so having him throw orgies every single day from which no one returns from and no one questions this?
Because he wasn't murdering tens of thousands of people in the mansion.

I shudder to imagine how bad the policing is in the fictional Japan. But anyway with all this combined the discovery of his immortality + gene-modding + building his empire + searching for supernatural information + developing it + using it to discover what is happening + developing and enacting his plan to prevent the doom. All of it is implied by Mizue to have taken roughly 25 years since she was given all of his knowledge in the anticipation that she would become his reincarnation.
He didn't exactly accomplish much spiritually when alive besides learning the basics of the four goddesses and accidentally opening the portal and having to keep it from growing. The majority of his spiritual work has been done while dead, including overseeing what happened on the other end of his portal.

Now thats honestly a tight time frame for all he accomplished and this is without me going into the simple fact that a lot of it like how no one just stole his research or how he for seemingly no reason at all grew as powerful as he is later on and all of that sounds a bit out there.
Remember the talk Jamie and Shayla have in Ch39 where they debate the origins of CJ's gene mods.

At the same time he makes it abundantly clear that he doesn't actually care to save the world since he litterly prepares sex slaves for himself in the future and that he himself will use all the powers he has gathered by killing billions to ascend to godhood and that by him becoming a god would somehow save the universe.
Hayato tells Jamie in Ch20 that the maids were not for him.

We've had people say this for years, but the problem is that on F95 the Female Protagonist tag means something very specific (generally that the porn is female led) and that when OoT did have that tag, it just pissed people off. The mods decided to just get rid of the tag, and I supported that decision.

My dude, the side stories are during the timeskip, I didn't think anyone would need it spelled out for them.
Leah says she has no mother, because from her pov she doesn't because she hates her, she doesn't actually think she doesn't have a mom.

While it is a possible outcome the amount of time this would take is questionable since the technology shown is similair to our own and while there is some research being done close to this since some time ago and I'm no expert on the area. My guess it would take quite some time to even get people to start research on the grandpa and even though he is shown to being smart + insightful when it comes to the supernatural and to on top of that spawn all the gene-modding that comes out of it I mean would it take 5, 10, 20, 50 years?
It's a lot easier to reverse engineer something then invent it. Also gene-editing does currently exist with CRISPR. Also in a story of Gods and Demons you're trying to make it sci-fi when it's fantasy.

I honestly don't know but again to build an empire from scratch and then to develop a new field of reasearch? I would say at least 10-20 years minimum to even get started.
We know he lived for at least 100 years because Jamie mention's him being a young man in the 80's and OoT is in ~2075.

Which leads him to sacrificing an unknown number of people to open a portal that goes between the other side and the real world into another world, which almost destroyed the world, so that he can start sacrificing hundreds of thousands of people to build up a storage of souls to use as fuel for his eventual ascension into godhood since building that kind of supernatural power would take thousands upon thousands of years but by simply consuming souls that part can be skipped. This again would take an immense amount of time since it's explained that how it was done was by bringing men close to the portal and then have his 4-5 maids have sex with them which would lead to their deaths. Which again makes me question this since the amount of time it would take is again pretty long. Those 20,000 souls came from the alternate world, where he killed billions by opening that portal in a metropolis, not his world.

Honestly mate I'd recommend you do a second playthrough, the first playthrough can be a bit confusing since you forget details. The second is like a whole new game with you seeing the code of the matrix. There's a lot of foreshadowing you wouldn't have noticed and some sentences you interpreted one way on your first playthrough that on your second you understand.

Thanks for pointing out a lot of stuff I probably missed.

On the parts of side stories I can understand that however with how the world is with all the gene-modding + medicin to make you eternally young or something a persons hair length doesn't really tell me much since I would think they could just change that willy nilly. There is also the fact that Vic + Chad talks about his mom which made me believe it happened shortly after the main story, though again it could have been any time since it's not made apperent outside of it was a month after he returns and with the 8 months later it should have happened before but since the talk is about his mother happens straight after just meeting his mother it seemed to have happened after. It was however hard for me to tell if it was a miss in writing or it just becoming that way in my head because of how it played out.

And yes I seemingly missed/forgot the part about the people in the city since my understanding at first was that the one's inside the globe where the one's he had brought from their planet while the one's walking around outside were the ghosts of the city. Which makes my thoughts about the tens of thousands in the mansion wrong.

On the whole empire thing and gene mods I'm not sure what to think since as mentioned during the talk with Shayla, or at least this is how I understood it. Chad is gene-modded or geneticly engineered in a way that is impossible with the reasearch they have which is why the previous reasearcher just saw it as an error but Shayla saw much more and it is seemingly impossible to replicate with the knowledge they have at the time and is probably generations ahead. Generations ahead is kinda hard to put a time frame on since in the tech industry it could mean some decades since most generations are about 2-5 years or if it's human generations then hundreds of years since that is usually something like 30-80 years depending on how you see it. So her take on it was that the easiest would just have him to breed with everyone to make a new generation of super humans. Which in turn makes me wonder how they were able to reverse engineer what was done to the grandpa just like that. Together with the fact that just letting him sit back and reinvest which in turn built him an empire and being the forefront in gene-modding. Again maybe I'm colored quite a bit here from my personal background/knowledge in economics/buisness since it's not just enough to earn money and reinvest since that could easily mean you would get everything you own either lost or taken from you.

On the female tag I don't quite get it but I can understand, there are multiple games on here I believe that mentions they have multiple protags and use both male and female protag tags but I had no idea people were being vocal about it or what not and it does sound silly.

Lastly I would just like to say I really appreciated the overall storya and it really got me hooked since I spent the last couple of days just playing it and reading most of the stuff, though I clearly missed some parts and I honestly did fast forward some so that probably helped. I really liked the fact that each character is being developed instead of this being some power trip for the MC where he just collects dolls for his doll house.

My dude, the side stories are during the timeskip, I didn't think anyone would need it spelled out for them.

Yeah I would probably need a second playthrough with all the info that I read in the last couple of days but I'll wait for a bit more content before I do it again.

I'm not sure how I made it sci-fi when a lot of the story revolves around how the everyday life for everyone in the world has changed because of how the changes made to the grandpa was reversed engineered and then made available to the rich and then to even the public, since almost everyone in the story is gene-modded or taking drugs that make them young. So yes this is fantasy and I totally agree but again a large part is fantasy, magic or whatnot is used on grandpa and then science is used to reverse engineer whatever was done and then made readily available to everyone. Again this is an inconsequential part of the story that is just used to setup nad world building it doesn't actually subtract or diminish the story but it does at least for me make me go hold up does this make sense?

Errrr... Didn't you think it was a metaphor?

Yeah maybe the mom thing just went over my head at the time since there was so much talk about Chad + Vic's mothers and then Leah just went I have no mom and then we are introduced to her sister but she's adopted but then she's not really adopted but actually her half-sister.

On the immortality part yeah she just gave it to him

That's not true since gene modifications are done at birth. There's no magical "make hair grow" button installed on Jamie and I have no idea why you would think there would be.

The important part is that Shayla is saying his modifications should be impossible, yet he has them. Jamie thinks they're supernatural in origin.

That's a hint towards what you already saw with grandpa.

Not sure how I couldn't think that way to be honest, yes I know it's been explained gene mods are done at birth but they are still taking medications / treatment for eternal youth so if they can make medications for eternal youth, which at least according to science today would mostly involve preventing our cells/DNA from decaying and if it can be rejuvinated we can live if not forever for a very long time and so growing hair if this was made possible wouldn't at least in theory be particulary complicated. I read an interesting article on this some time ago that mentioned that we are probably just a few decades away from this and that the biggest issue in their opinion would be how to deal with changes to society because of so many people living for at least several centuries and the mental toll it would take on people.

So I'm not really sure how far out it would be to just assume they can change their physical appearance to some degree. I mean even here we have medication that can boost hair growth to some degree and dependence on gender so I never really thought of it being far fetched that Jamie deciding to be more womanly would decide to lengthen her hair. There are also tons of other ways like using a wig, extensions or what not to artificially make your hair longer so why wouldn't there be better or cooler way to do it some 60 years into the future. But if you say there isn't any way to do that then yeah there isn't any since it's your world.

Again this is just me liking the story so much that I wanted to talk about it but I can't really do that with my friends since I'm the only degenerate on here far as I know :D
