VN Unity Out of Touch! [v3.96.2] [Story Anon]

I dont know what we got in store for us story-wise, but am I the only one who finds Victoria's character so unlikeable? I guess I cant relate to her situation too much, what with not having experienced early loss of parents, attepted rape and attepted murder*, among other things.
She puts up a pretty tough front and acts as a de-facto leader, but it seems like its most of it is thanks to the connection she shares with CJ. In fact, due to his nature and similar backgrounds, especially in his childhood days, I feel like he was taken advantage of (and I don't mean the virginity thing, rather psychological) whereas any other girl probably has more chemistry and fits more organically with him, than her (well, maybe not the "Chad Thundercock" alter-ego, but his prior self). Granted, she is somewhat polarizing and, thus, complicated to analyze, which is a testament to the good writing by the author. Dunno, I guess I hope that she either has a redemption arc of some sorts planned for, a more thorough explanation of why CJ is into her, or at least a character maturation of some sorts.
TLDR Victoria is not my waifu of choice as of this moment, game is still awesome, does not need more fap for fap's sake, keep up the good work dev
PS Cro is awesome, favorite yandere, I hope whenever Kieran bonding happens she wouldn’t just disappear from the story altogether

You don't have a wrong viewpoint at all.

Victoria is definitely the most "risky" of any of the main girls, the one where I wasn't afraid to give her very large, very obvious flaws that she then covers up by trying to act cool and stylish. If that sounds like someone else in the group, you're not wrong either.

Whether that overshadows the rest of her character is completely up to the reader and whatever viewpoint you walk away with is perfectly valid.

It's not super clear yet in the story, but each girl will be getting a nearly equal amount of screen time so whoever does end up being your favorite will have plenty of time in the spotlight as well.

Honestly , I wouldn't mind Cro disappearing because at this point , she has gone WAY too far to be redeemable or her being useful in terms of the story , she got a lot of balls rolling in the story but she is best as a starter Villain and has just kind of lingered around after jamie's arc as a nuisance in comparison to the others in terms of power ( that we know of ) or the plot going forwards , getting rid of her while it would suck for people who like her. It makes sense for the story. I will also say this is the only adult game I go to for the plot and not for the porn , the humor is pretty great , fucking chad thundercock really threw me for a loop . I do feel chapter 29 is going to have either a very very simple title or one that will describe the amount of pain Cro may feel the the future .

Sadly a core theme of OoT is you can't just get rid of your problems.

The story and characters certainly had my interest until ... the battle with Cro. Yeah, I get it that I'm trying to buff the hostage's health, but I've only seen one opportunity to do so, so I'm stuck in a maddening cycle of wasting time with no observable way to alter the path to loss.
This is, IMO, pretty bad design - I didn't pick a kinetic VN to be faced with a battle I can't win - once into the battle sequence, you can't back up to see what clue you may have missed.
I don't have a recent save (I usually save at branch decisions, which don't seem to be a thing here), and it's questionable whether I'll be willing to start over and re-read everything looking for a clue.
It's unfortunate, but this battle may kill the game for me, just when I was getting involved.

Just finished 1.93 and I must say that I was not ready. Holy smokes did I get something completely different from what I was expecting. I fell in love with the story, the characters developments and the comedy that was sprinkled throughout the sometimes dark story.

The only thing that I have an "issue" about is the fight vs Cro. No, not that Issue but rather having a lack of emphasis on the solution. The solution is there but when you zone out on the story it kinda flies over your head and then you are presented an unexpected RPG maker type fight. Kinda replaces the answer with an over abundance of questions.

Regardless, what an amazing ride it has been so far. As an enthusiast for good storytelling and character development this has quite thoroughly entertained me. You absolutely must add some more verbage to that final frame to save some people some time... I was worried that the game crashed and it took a few to realize what had happened.

I started playing Chapter One yesterday at 9:00 pm and finished Chapter 28 today at 3:00 pm. Without any breaks. Okay, maybe the short one to make tea. And now I feel totally empty. Not in cause of ch.28's final scene. Cause my joyride through the story was ended paused.

If we consider Out of Touch as another porn game on F95... I will give it 0/10, lol. But man... Who cares about ding-donging their weewees? We are here for the plot.

Well, I'm really enjoying storytelling. It's well-balanced for me: some serious topics, some funny weird stuff, some psychodelic shit and romantic talks after that. Sometimes I fast-clicked slice-of-life scenes, but I slowed down on lore things. Thanks to totally linear storytelling, the whole plot looks solid for me. I think, it should be linear with such serious and psychodelic things.

I also appreciate the style of character reveal. It's not only dialogues with MCCJ, but dialogues with other girls, flashbacks, inner dialogues with spirits in head. And all of this is well-placed in storyline. And Jesus Christ, I LOVE THE WAYS OF BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS WITH GIRLS. At first, it looks funny or a bit stupid, but hell yeah... YOU CANNOT JUST BANG GIRL BY GIRL! Firstly, you and your victim MUST be sure, that your banging will not hurt your previous girl, lol.

But yeah, such a brilliant VN has weak things:

Despite all, I really like Out of Touch (highly prooved in the beginning of my post) and waiting for new chapters with answers for questions. It's exciting, that novel has huge amount of content and this is not the middle of storyline (based on my feelings and things, which Story Anon mentioned early):

I left an extensive review/critique of Out of Touch, but I just wanted to add here that I very much enjoyed the game, it has a very unique and interesting atmosphere. I liked it so much I basically lost one night's sleep playing it to completion.

Really looking forward to the future of this game.
