Well I am a bit skeptical since I played the other Overlord.
The developer is making other games so, I assume that the attention(time) will be divided between projects.
For what I see in this game it promises diferent routes and the developer said there will be more choices of companions at least on the first act.
That's cool on first sight, but in the first Overlord, you could only get a satisfying experience with the companion you choose and the rest of characters were treated more as a side characters. So for example, if you choose Narberal to be your companion you could not have a good and proper experience with other characters like Albedo, Shalltear and so on.
Also, the more routes you have, the more time and resources you need to spend on each one of them and then combine all those routes into a node, and that node will have different outcomes depending on each character. And in the first game it made sense and was connected but it wasn't satisfactory, and sometimes ended into "cluster fuck". Hope that changes.
If you choose Narberal to accompany you during your Momon adventures, then it's pretty much final.
If you choose to bring someone in Carne Village at the beginning, that won't influence your future choices (although said choice will at least be kept for some stuff like flavor text or alt scenes), but if you pick a character to be your only wife, then it's normal the game will continue to show only scenes with said characters - If you want them all, then you need to pursue the harem route.
In this remake I could see an upgrade of visuals and graphics but not much in mechanics, just a point and click to ger FP points.
What mechanics we should expect on the game? Economy management? Management of a kingdom, construction and so on? Management of war?Dating Sim?Rpg system? Maybe exploration to get relics? Or just plain visual novel like the older one?
Would you spend more resources to make the harem more satisfactory for the player or like the first one it will be more satisfactory with one choice?
It'll be a pure Visual Novel, with "point and click" type of exploration to gain FPs and some trivia/easter eggs. Those FPs can then be converted into collectibles and extra scenes, in short, it'll be a reskin of a feature that other similar VNs offer, however rather than putting collectibles to find on the map, you can just decide what you want to get with your FPs instead on a separate menu.
Yes, the game will feature a harem.
The end was abrupt and not very good, will you change that? What will be the length or the sdtory, to where you plan to extent the game? Because the original opus is not finished. I think the last volume was 16.
The ending hinted at a sequel, which was planned but then discarded, in favor of another project that will come after Vox Gremory. I could either use the material I had for the sequel, or just use the last volumes that hopefully will come before I reach that point, or maybe even mix both if possible and make it depend on the choices made.
In the older game we have repetable scenes, will that change? Some mmm "non-canon" scenes that supporters wanted were added, that will be added too, or cut?
I don't remember the old game having repeatable scenes, I thought the only repeatable scenes I've ever included are on Vox Gremory, but I'm not completely sure.
I always try my best to accept or at least loosely fit the ideas of anyone. People usually give me good ideas, so I don't restrict that to supporters, anyone is always free to suggest anything.
Will you break some taboos in pos for some spectators or for freedom?
Already done that a couple of times in this first release, also, the game won't have mirror events anymore and instead those extra scenes will play naturally as part of the story's flow, so it won't always be fully from the player's perspective.
What's more we should expect that is not mentioned above?
Lots of scenes to make Peperoncino's blush
Who the fuck is "Peperoncino"?
Which is Shalltear's creator, but I believe all players of this games are a little bit Peperoncino. Even Yotetar or you could be a bit Peperoncino.
Is it true that you like Penne All' Arrabbiata?
No, I don't like spicy food
Something you want to say to skeptical people like me, or other indecisive people?
If you're skeptical, just don't be, duh
Will we have a wonderfull WAAAGH?
a what
All too calm, you hide yourself from reality
Do you call it solitude? Do you call it liberty?
