With the changes to the combat system the game seems to have become harder.

But I can't find any difference to the stages. The blog talks about modifications but i didn't find anything different so far.

You probably mean the HP, SP, etc. items, if so, go to the hacker room, then just let it test them on you, after that you should be able to buy them normally from the store. Worth of note that the override one will make you imortal but also unable to achieve goals for the stages, so use it after clearing them once prefereably.

If you mean outfits and other customization items, well, only with the lootbox thing (the rootbox)
