It's then not too surprising she'd be willing to re-evaluate other things/people she's been giving nothing but cold shoulder so far, namely Ian. Especially since she now gets to interact with him regularly also in situations outside of the work.

I'm well aware of that. And it's my point that seeing them get together at this late stage is very difficult and may be handled in the epilogue but there's already established antagonisms which make them getting together a bit less likely with so much to be focused on as is.

They're supposed to be erotic fiction and they fail both as erotic and as fiction.

I wouldn't be this extreme even if, as a matter of fact, a good 90+% of games, especially recent now games, are indeed lazy garbage with 0 effort taken and visibly so.

But if we stick to the games that are well done, or at least decently done, even when the story is actually good, and there are a a good deal of games with a rich well conceived and well executed story, the plot and the sex elements feel disjointed.

Like "Hey! there is this mysterious serie of events, possibly dangerous implication and very shady actors! We need to investigate! But just give me 15 minutes, right now i need to fuck my cousin's brain out, then we can go on with the investigation!"

How do you end up with both hana and mina to get the scene, since I only get the bit at the end where mina tells edwin that he should've told her.

This is probably an unpopular opinion, but as much as I like Mina, she disappears from my LI's radar after this update (in my main playthrough). It's obvious that Mina and Ian could get back together, especially if Ian goes the introspective route. As we know, Ian loves to "test the limits of others" and that didn't work out with Mina. He also can't believe that despite his behavior, Mina can still like him (for other reasons, of course). And now this internal conflict haunts him.

I also really like Ian's trait where he doesn't ask Edwin unnecessary questions, reading his mood in serious situations. Having friends like that is rare.
There's a reason Mina has a "Killian Romance" stat.
I also wouldn't want a repeat of Marlow's story

For what's worth that stat is for early game, and it influences/determines how open Mina is acting towards Edwin. That's the reason. Although it could be used for other purposes, ofc.

I've only played the Hana fuckbuddy route + Mina causal lover & bicurious in this update and in this route Mina is in love with Edwin and clearly upset and utterly sad when she sees Hana and Edwin kiss.

Honestly, I feel I have more chances in winning Wimbledon next summer than Ian has in winning Mina back.

There's option when you are about to go on a date with Hana to be "fully transparent" about it with Mina. Pretty obvious choice if you remember what behavior got Ian in hot water with her.

If you did take this option, then am not sure. What "trouble with Mina" do you mean, more specifically?

You really don't understand why you'd get in trouble with Mina if she finds out that you are (still) trying to fuck around with her when Hana is your actual girlfriend, as opposed to just a friend with benefits? Especially when, if you tell Mina about your date with Hana earlier, Mina asks you not to double-time Hana?

Put simply, either you keep things casual with both girls, or if you choose Hana to be your gf then you tell Mina about it and call your bucket list deal off. Trying to have Mina as ignorant side piece while cheating on your girlfriend makes Ian look good in comparison, when Mina finds out about it from Hana at the end of the update.

Yes, he deserved to lose Mina, but he clearly is more hung-up about her than I thought. Makes going down the Mina path actually a bit more evil, in my opinion.

That's the beauty of this game, that it gives you the opportunity to go down different paths and have different perspectives. If you go down a certain path, you can't project it onto other paths.
