Think you're right. Been a while since I played the game, but I remember this option being hinted at more than once.
How she reacts to the money in the office, to what's happening in the club, to the other girls being degraded, Kath, ... She says she finds it disgusting and wants to change things, but seems a bit too fascinated by it all.
Hints here and there, that she may have a more sadistic/darker/kinkier side.

Finally played the latest update and is it only me because i kinda felt it was a little underwhelming? Not by a quality stand point I mind you but rather not a lot happened that progressed the story or anything new popped up? Felt more like a set up episode or a calm before the storm type of thing. Sex scenes were god tier though.

This was only a partial update with the actual exhibition coming as a fast follow
Did you play all the various branches? If you're only playing a single set of choices I could certainly see feeling like this didn't have a lot of length. This update is one of the most exclusively branched we've seen so far.

It definitely is just setting things up, as it's the lead-up to the third exhibition. Realistically, there wouldn't really be much story-wise going on the same day as that, as everyone is preparing. They originally planned to include the exhibition in this update, but decided to split it instead, which may add to your feeling a little underwhelmed.
There's also a lot of branching/locked choices (like the Hana GF and Mina visits) that would make it shorter depending on your previous choices.

Did you played till the end? There's nothing calm about it, it was more like a storm
I think for me it was the best update yet.
About the lack of story progression, not sure what you mean.

Overall this update is indeed the calm before the storm, but I enjoyed it a lot nonetheless, I'll link you the post about my thoughts of the whole update that I wrote back when I played it.

As someone who was only recently introduced to this game, I attempted to play through in a single playthrough ala man-whore route, and up until this point in the game, the "optimal" route to follow was with Hana and Mina as FWB because it didn't exclude you from most of the lewd content. However, it wasn't until the choice for [HanaGF] was grayed out in this most recent update did I think to myself, "yeah I'm gonna need another playthrough". I did, have done several more since, and I find myself equally as enamored with each subsequent run.
To extract the most enjoyment out of Ch 04, Up 06, I think it's imperative to play through all the possible routes. The path branching really goes wide in this update and it is definitely worth visiting.

I wouldn't go so far as to say I was underwhelmed, but I did feel the episode hit below its weight. Part of that is simply that I don't like the excesses of the Club very much and that was *the* focus of the update, which is a bummer.
But another part is that the episode is very much all buildup to a cliffhanger. The update lays on the dramatic irony extra thick: we know Elia and Felicia are in for an epic reckoning, but our MC can do precious little about it and isn't allowed much time for introspection. Unless you're on Felicia's more romantic path, there's not much interactivity with the main plot - it all just sort of happens around you. Now, there are a lot of 'side quests' you can do to keep the gameplay interesting, some of which are very good (like the afternoon visits with Hana or Mina, or the developing Killian saga), but those can be path dependent and they're still ultimately side content. So the end result can feel more than a little uneven depending on how you approach the game.
I'm hoping these issues will fade when we get the second half of the event and can finally react to all the tension that was built up, but we'll have to see how things play out.
As for Kathleen's new hairstyle, I think it's fine (the anti-aliasing didn't bother me). I prefer her normal look a bit more, but maybe I'm just used to it.

I was the opposite, I only found out that Ian could come with Edwin to Vic house in the morning on this thread.
I told him the truth but when Edwin called him he make an excuse that he had to meet Chuck.
People on here found out the trigger for Ian going with Edwin or not is a choice earlier of Edwin make Ian being introspective, I didn't had that option though, lacked bromance points, I think my Edwin is a bro to Ian, but I chose the half-truth to Mina and tried not to lie to her and that's probably it.

The hedonism has really started to crank up and I think that's by design. While the MC & player really wasn't able to avail themselves to the club's pleasures in the early going, we are getting thrown more and more excess temptations. Andrea in the update before, and Lucy, Allison, & Sophia this update. It's possible that we are being compensated more in this update, simply because there's enough time at this point in the story to do it, than in the next one to come where the focus will be more on the Carnation participants.
I hear ya on the lack of agency of just being an observer, but with the nature of the Elias-Felicia reveal, this update needed to be more the visual novel part of the medium. As someone who was able to go through 04.06 in one run, this was less of an issue to me, but for someone who's had to wait for long periods of time between content, I get where you're coming from. The unfortunate nature of in-progress content means older players will generally engage more by piece-meal instead of a whole, singular experience.
From a narrative standpoint, I think even if you're not invested in Felicia as an LI, this moment needed to happen to give her character some conflict which she previously didn't really have. How she responds to this adversity is narrative popcorn for the next update.
