Yeah, you're right about being different -- i simply don't get the "being neutral" part when Ian has been an asshole to Mina when they were together. Or how Edwin can consider himself "a very good friend" to Mina in this case, when he apparently doesn't give a fuck about how his other very good friend has treated her and is instead just giving him a pass.
As pinuz1 said so well in his post, unlike some other games where our MC is a blank slate, here we have a MC with some background. Ian is dwins best friend by far. He never had been bad to him, on the contrary, Killian would probably take the literal bullet for Edwin. Also some flashbacks and dialog shows that Ian was not always the ass to women he is now. This all began to get traction since "good, old" Uncle Chuck got major influence on Ian. And Grace being a Mom in name only did not help either.
If paying back something for Ian´s friendship is helping him get his north again, is a no-brainer!

Mina grew on my Edwin very fast and I tried to help them. I told Ian when we could do so "You have a great GF. WTF are you doing, man?" and after their break-up told Mina that currently she should not be with Ian. If now a contemplative Ian and Mina find a way back together, that would be great for my Edwin. If they find out they need other LIs to be happy than my Edwin will be happy for them too.

I don't know why you said Edwin would be happy if Ian is happy, to me Edwin never gave much thought to Ian's friendship then to just feel like he owes him for everything that he has done for him, otherwise it's shown clearly that Edwin doesn't like Ian's view of things. In the end Edwin would be satisfied that he has done something for Ian in exchange for everything that he has done for him and not because Ian is his friend, or at least that's the impression I got from the few interactions that they had in the entirety of the game so far.
Hi!
By your comment it is rather clear you did not play a route with medium or high freindship/bromance score. The differences in dialog and tone, small as they have been at first, are adding up more and more.

Also it's weird that grace is being villainized for the tiny few dialogues that she had in the game and we don't know why she did what she did (to me she seems like a busy but concerned mother), but Ian has been an asshole to almost everyone except maybe to those who he fears but he is being compensated for having a bad past with his mom, well maybe his mom had a bad past with someone else, if a person is a bad, he is bad, we don't say he Ian could be good (or is actually a good person inside like you are implying) if his parents treated him how he wanted them to treat unless we are biased because we have been hypnotized by his friendly charms.
In a certain way, this made my day! Such an analysis would even bring Dr. Lundgren to facepalm! What an image! :) Over the run of the game we get it from several independent in-game sources that Grace is an ice-cold and rather unfit mother. She makes amoral, eccentric, calculating Sophia Lundgren look like a cuddly hugger in comparison.
Motherly affection Ian only got from Alice and Vicki, very rarely Grace.

If the dev has designed to make Grace an objectively better mother, they're doing a terrible job at it. She wants what's best for Ian by controlling his entire life and cruelly manipulating people he's close to to accomplish that goal. Her methods have only made Ian worse, whereas Vicky had wound up making Edwin far better. She doesn't want to make Ian succeed, she doesn't want to fail at having him succeed.

Edit: Hell just look at where they started: Ian was the quiet nice kid while Edwin was the troublemaker with issues, now look to present day where it flipped, where Ian is living his 20s like a wrecking ball and Edwin is trying to seriously advance his career.

Rejecting Rose's offer or Hana's proposal to become a couple. Both looked so disappointed and sad, which made me question if I really wanted to continue with my decisions. Mina's sad face when you kiss Hana at the concert... didn't follow that route, but I remember seeing some pics of that scene here and even that was enough to feel bad for her.

Hi! I truly doubt TD and GiL had the intention to make Grace a good mom. Especially on runs with high bromance it becomes very clear that Ian as a person is a complete afterthought for Grace. Motherly affection he only got from Alice and mainly Vicki and how Ian is, interests Grace zero.
As Ian (if we get him to think about his future) tells us, he would like to become a professor/teacher of History, but that would never fly with Grace. And we get confirmation of this twice already. And we can easily see that for Grace Ian counts as nothing, he should simply function. The only thing that worries Grace is that Ian´s playboy attitude hurts her outside image. The person Ian and that it is her neglect of him which led him onto his current path, interests Grace nothing. Only her standing counts.

Not gonna lie, I've been watching the page number slowly go up at the bottom of the thread for like half a year now. (And through all the set backs with posts getting purged recently).

Compared to some other game threads, thanks for not being too insane and annoying.
Seeing so many regular names over the years actually means something to me, as silly as it sounds.

I hope for future releases we can have scenarios where Traits like Firestarter or Sticky Fingers apply. There's a lot of points where I wish you could use Sticky Fingers to swipe or pick pocket stuff while playing but wind up unable, unlike Voyeur which gets you more Peeping scenes. Then there's Firestarter and I can only imagine a couple "bad" scenes where you're inclined to burn something down using your Arson knowledge.

No, thank you guys. Developers like you and GIL3D make me respect artists and independent game developers so much more and I think I speak for pretty much everyone in this forum and everybody that gave your game a chance that with how much discussion and mini essays can be written about pretty much every character/scene, it goes to show how much it's story means and loved by the playerbase and that how many people choose to try to get every scene in the game is also a testament to it's well developed visuals and characters models.

Hope your project ends as properly as you guys want and is as well received as it always has been!
