In a headcanon/logic sense getting on kathleens good side would make the carnations dislike you but in practice you can get high Kathleen scores (above 20 iirc as well as 7 Warren points) while still having all the carnations (and hana/mina) at almost max (1 or 2 points below max so way more than any checks have asked for).Least Favorite Main Girl in general: Kathleen. Not really into hags, plus she's a massive bitch, which can add to the charm of being the Top in her scenes, but not for me. Also getting on her good side likely means making every other girl hate you more.
I wonder if you'll change your mind after playing the other two's paths.Speaking of, I might as well list my favorites so far:
Favorite Carnation: Rosalind, easily. I like the other two obviously but the variation between kinky humiliation and more loving and tender sex scenes with her take the cake.
Maybe, but this is primarily from a base character standard. Rosalind is a flawed character who is finding support from someone 14 years her junior. I still like the other two just fine, but the method of approaching Rosalind (kindness or manipulation and love vs lust) and her situation in general gives her more appeal to me.I wonder if you'll change your mind after playing the other two's paths.
As pinuz1 said so well in his post, unlike some other games where our MC is a blank slate, here we have a MC with some background. Ian is dwins best friend by far. He never had been bad to him, on the contrary, Killian would probably take the literal bullet for Edwin. Also some flashbacks and dialog shows that Ian was not always the ass to women he is now. This all began to get traction since "good, old" Uncle Chuck got major influence on Ian. And Grace being a Mom in name only did not help either.Yeah, you're right about being different -- i simply don't get the "being neutral" part when Ian has been an asshole to Mina when they were together. Or how Edwin can consider himself "a very good friend" to Mina in this case, when he apparently doesn't give a fuck about how his other very good friend has treated her and is instead just giving him a pass.
Hi!I don't know why you said Edwin would be happy if Ian is happy, to me Edwin never gave much thought to Ian's friendship then to just feel like he owes him for everything that he has done for him, otherwise it's shown clearly that Edwin doesn't like Ian's view of things. In the end Edwin would be satisfied that he has done something for Ian in exchange for everything that he has done for him and not because Ian is his friend, or at least that's the impression I got from the few interactions that they had in the entirety of the game so far.
In a certain way, this made my day! Such an analysis would even bring Dr. Lundgren to facepalm! What an image! Also it's weird that grace is being villainized for the tiny few dialogues that she had in the game and we don't know why she did what she did (to me she seems like a busy but concerned mother), but Ian has been an asshole to almost everyone except maybe to those who he fears but he is being compensated for having a bad past with his mom, well maybe his mom had a bad past with someone else, if a person is a bad, he is bad, we don't say he Ian could be good (or is actually a good person inside like you are implying) if his parents treated him how he wanted them to treat unless we are biased because we have been hypnotized by his friendly charms.
the blushing peepo emote is the universal sign of serious postsIf the dev has designed to make Grace an objectively better mother, they're doing a terrible job at it. She wants what's best for Ian by controlling his entire life and cruelly manipulating people he's close to to accomplish that goal. Her methods have only made Ian worse, whereas Vicky had wound up making Edwin far better. She doesn't want to make Ian succeed, she doesn't want to fail at having him succeed.
Ah, I'm on my phone, I could barely see it lol.the blushing pepoo emote is the universal sign of serious posts![]()

Rejecting Rose's offer or Hana's proposal to become a couple. Both looked so disappointed and sad, which made me question if I really wanted to continue with my decisions. Mina's sad face when you kiss Hana at the concert... didn't follow that route, but I remember seeing some pics of that scene here and even that was enough to feel bad for her. What's your least favorite moment in Pale Carnation?

Good thing mods already removed the trolls post from earlier today or this would have been the last post before page 1000
Hi! I truly doubt TD and GiL had the intention to make Grace a good mom. Especially on runs with high bromance it becomes very clear that Ian as a person is a complete afterthought for Grace. Motherly affection he only got from Alice and mainly Vicki and how Ian is, interests Grace zero.If the dev has designed to make Grace an objectively better mother, they're doing a terrible job at it. As Ian (if we get him to think about his future) tells us, he would like to become a professor/teacher of History, but that would never fly with Grace. And we get confirmation of this twice already. And we can easily see that for Grace Ian counts as nothing, he should simply function. The only thing that worries Grace is that Ian´s playboy attitude hurts her outside image. The person Ian and that it is her neglect of him which led him onto his current path, interests Grace nothing. Only her standing counts.
