Not all harem games are that dumpies, but I understand your opinion especially because of the obsessive harem fans, the same goes for NTR fans...
but some harem games are made pretty well, the problem with harem genres is that most developers don't know how to do it and suddenly make the same boring plot with 5-10 girls and meaningless fucking!

Harem games also need clear plans and plots with a little difficulty, tension and competition between girls because of jealousy, and then slowly they come to terms with it and not just like that "show a bigdick with one click and all the girls are yours"

I am also 100% not a fan of harems, I usually try to avoid things like harem/ntr discussion... I am mostly a fan of things like half corruption harem with a little vanilla mixed in.
It all depends on taste and variety.

Would say I am mostly a fan of Netori, but unfortunately such genres are underrated, sometimes I want to play a game where Mc with an antagonist nature corrupts other people's girls or wives... but I'm me, that's my taste lol

Yeah NTR to me is just stealing, cheating, jealousy. But I do see some people lose it when they see 2 Li's look at each other or there is a male friend in a game lol. I mean if there is a Lesbian character straight trying to steal a LI from the mc and making moves then yeah that's NTR but that's usually not the case.

I haven't really seen anything in Pale Carnations that would suggest that to me though. I mean the hoes ain't loyal but they are hoes.

Although, I did slightly agree with Edwin during the threesome when he had that thought about Mina screaming Felicia's name... but there was an easy fix to that. And well Veronica makes me insecure so I gotta keep Mina away from her, but Hana is fine.

Then you're not living in the game. You depend on this job, and Kathleen is your boss. Going against her will fuck you almost as hard as not going against her.

I said I did my best to go against her, not that I don´t participate. I try to keep a balance of playing to what she wants, while never going fully into that type of character. There´s a part of me that goes "These girls sign up for this shit" and another that goes "Even if they signed up, this is going to far". I try to protect them as much as I can, I try to be their friend instead of their "handler" or whatever it is. If in the end that fucks my relation with her, then so be it. So far, she´s pleased with I´m doing while wishing I went deeper into the role, which is perfectly fine by me.

Yeah I see that part as a job and a way to put me in Edwins shoes. Experience the conflict of having to work there or whatever. How much can I (as Edwin) take or stomach. How much will it effect the relationships Ive tried to have Edwin build with the carnations and what not. Like it adds that conflict to the game, that drama. So I dislike the exhibitions because they aren't for me, but I like that they add that dynamic to the story, If you get what I mean.

I'm sure week 3 will be hard to do if you are trying to keep the job and friendships. Maybe. Someone is gonna get upset.

Don´t get me wrong, I love the plot aspect that the exhibition adds and how to balance a job where everyone who has a position of power is an asshole at best. That said, what happens during the exhibitions is really not for me. I don´t mind kinky shit, but that is different for me.

I´m sure week 3 will be hell to balance, but if the choice is between the girls or Kathleen...the choice is pretty simple for me (unless the devs add some crazy consequence, then I might think about it a bit more).
