My decision hinges purely on whether there'd be Mina content in the smaller part released early. In the spirit of the best waifu Veronica fan club, im in the go big or go home update squad.![]()
When I say an extra one/two months, I was already taking in consideration the time it will take normally. I don´t mind waiting if it means we´ll get the whole exhibition in the same update.I don't see any chance the full exhibition only takes 2 months. 3 feels like the absolute minimum (October), with 4 being much more realistic (November).
They said that they had enough content done to release an update now, but that would mean dividing the exhibition in two parts and that second part would take 3-4 months do be done and ready for release. If they did that, we could have Ch4Up6 Part 1 in August and Ch4Up6 Part 2 around December. What I meant was that I wouldn´t mind waiting one or two extra months on top of those 3-4 months if it meant I could play the whole exhibition in one update. If you read it correctly they said it would take 3-4 more months
I'd rather have a more bigger update than 2 seperate ones IMOWhen I say an extra one/two months, I was already taking in consideration the time it will take normally. I don´t mind waiting if it means we´ll get the whole exhibition in the same update.

I read it correctly, my math just might be off.
Me too.I'd rather have a more bigger update than 2 seperate ones IMO
That being said i stand by what i said, i rather have 1 big update rather than 2 smaller seperate x)i am ok with waiting few more months for the nxt update
the devs said that they like to end the exhibition update with a cliffhanger
if we get a split update then the current story would have to be altered in a way to end it in a cliffhanger again like it did last update
sure we would all love the update now but in long term it could hurt the flow of the story
Big update all the way, what's so bad about a few extra months? Not like the world's gonna end right... right?
Nah hopefully don't, but for real I rather a big long update than two quickes.
TD has already mentioned this update already has a lot of content, it wouldn't just be a small one, after all, it's been 7 months, that's the usual dev time for most of the updates and those tend to be meaty enough. There's quite a bit of content in this update already, enough to justify a release
Eh, I think I have a reasonably solid estimate of the time involved. I'm willing to wait, but I agree it will be a significant pause that could dampen interest in the game.Sorry guys,
but I wholeheartedly hope that they split the update.
You are underestimating the development time (as usual).
I'm virtually certain a hypothetical Chapter 4 Update 7 would still end after the Exhibition (plus the usual wrap-up). But I'm also sure it will still take more than 3-4 months, both because I'm expecting a lot of work just to complete the Exhibition and because if and when they split it I suspect they'll be a lot more willing to flesh out new ideas that crop up in the telling. That's a good thing in the long run given the general quality of their work, but it will take time.TD has already mentioned this update already has a lot of content, it wouldn't just be a small one, after all, it's been 7 months, that's the usual dev time for most of the updates and those tend to be meaty enough.
I'm very curious on how TD and Gil would opperate if they do break the update in two, would they release the other half as soon as the exhibition part is finished, so we'd be looking at another update in 3-4 months, or would they keep going and add a bit more content after exhibition?
I'm fine with both options, but both have their ups and downs![]()
+1Sorry guys,
but I wholeheartedly hope that they split the update.

I'm not sure why you think we're failing to account for all this; if anything my estimates are a month or so longer than yours and I still favor the single release (assuming the devs are comfortable with the long wait, of course). I worry that chopping up the Exhibition will result in a very high concentration of my least favorite content in the second half. Now, the devs might be able to mitigate that by adding more variety to the second half once it's split, but from my point of view that just means we have to wait even longer to get to the good stuff after the Exhibition.Again,
you are underestimating the development time.
My guess is:
if they split:
- 1st half in end of september / mid-october
- 2nd half in 2026, probably not before march
if they don't split:
- end of december 2025 (if we're very lucky) / january-february 2026
I have the feeling that you've forgotten betatesting, prerelease wrap-up, post beta release, bugfixing beta and public version release times.
Well, the devs are on record in saying the update can be split, it's just a question of how much the split would lessen the impact of the material.Unfortunately in a visual novel there isn't a direct correlation between story and size. For example the Pale Carnation's developers can split a week in three updates, where the first two are placed during the week and the third during the exhibition, but this doesn't mean all the updates will have an equal size. On the contrary it is higly probable that the third update will be the greatest one among the three and the developers cannot split this update in two, without breaking a part of the story which is indivisible.
