The writing is really good, which makes me feel pretty bad. BDSM isn't my cup of tea, and I'm a sucker for happy endings, so I might have walked into the wrong party. The MC's flashbacks to his mother's stint in the porn industry as he interviews Rosalind were rough.

I haven't played many VNs, so I've been following the walkthrough. I'm helping Rosalind, and just got to the choice to get dinner with Felicia. On the one hand, working and spending time with the other Carnations may open opportunities to rig things in Rosalind's favor. On the other hand, the walkthrough notes that accepting the invitation puts me on Felicia's "path." That sounds like a conflict with my previous choice? Pursuing multiple paths sounds like a recipe for a dramatic disaster.

EDIT: Maybe it doesn't matter, because I apparently selected Hana's path even earlier. Am I playing the video game wrong?

Who in their right mind would dodge Felicia?? Have you clocked that lass properly? She’s like sex on a stick, ready to grab and lick!

No. But playing the game for the first time and immediately following the walkthrough can be called a dubious activity, because in AVN you are given a choice, thereby you simply avoid responsibility for your choice and it won't be such a fun experience. Your message only confirms this, since knowing the consequences of your decisions in advance, you already have a picture of what can happen in the plot further.

But, of course, it's up to you.

You must think about the choices you have in this game, like they were choices made in the real life: every choice has consequences and some choices are in conflict with each other. In other words there aren't good or wrong choices, because in this game (like in the real life) you cannot have the cake and eat it too. For example I'm in the Hana path, but my mc is cheating on her without any scruple. There will be consequences? Yes. The consequences will be bad for Edwin? Probably, but I don't care, because this is how I have decided to play and it will be fun find out what the outcome will be.

You can be fine with Hana as long as she doesn't become your girlfriend which you will know for sure when that happens, in which case she expects you to be exclusive, same with Mina if you enter a relationship with her after her breakup she won't like it if you cheat on her.

The rest of the carnations so far seem fine but I imagine at some point they will ask you to commit as well.

People criticized Fallout 4 for giving the player options for responding to situations only for the PC's actual response to be radically different from what the choice implied, and that's basically my concern here. If interacting with a character and going onto their "path" is necessarily an expression of romantic interest, and I want to pursue a single LI for my first playthrough, then then I don't want to interact with them. If, however, being on the "path" just means that Edwin can interact with the character platonically or romantically, then I don't want to needlessly avoid that content. It's not about avoiding consequences, but making sure I'm on the same page as the writer when I make a decision.

For now you can be on all routes at the same time and not be in a serious relationship with anyone. Hana has the option of becoming your girlfriend, but there is also fuck buddy option. Without routes you lose a lot of content.

You can be in every Main Girl's path as well without any problem, but if you make the choice to become Hana's boyfriend you are supposed to stop banging the other chicks, I guess.

That's what I was afraid of, thanks. I already have an older save for the fuckbuddies route and wanted to try something different on this new playthrough.

I guess I'll have to not get involved with Felicia either. But is it possible to go that painting event as friends? I liked it and would rather not miss it if possible.
You need to be on Felicia's path to get the invite to the Week 3 art show, which does force the MC to have a sexual relationship with her. Fortunately for people trying to be loyal to Hana, promising to be a loyal girlfriend to her is effectively an exit ramp to Felicia's path; it allows you still attend the debut of Felicia's favorite artist and keep it in the MC's pants afterwards - if you so choose. It's unclear if you'll have to miss out on any future Felicia events (or the other girls') this way, but at least for now you can have your cake and eat a bite of it too.

I try to keep cheating to a minimum, I have 3 saves including this latest one where the main objective is Mina as girlfriend.

But from MrBubu's walkthrough it seems that in order to not get involved with Hana, you need to turn her down when she invites you to her concert. This sucks because what she tells us is "Plus, they're more likely to invite us back. Do a girl a favor?".

Refusing to help Hana there makes us total douchebags and I can't do that to my favorite girl. I guess Mina will just have to be upset and break up with me eventually. I wish the dev had handled it better.
It's a little more flexible than that. If the MC 'fails' the date with Hana in Week 3 their relationship seems to stabilize into friendship going forward. Likewise if he declines to fool around with her on the MC's birthday that will prevent Hana from asking the MC on a date in the first place. You should be able to attend Hana's concert without automatically getting caught up in romantic entanglements with her.

Eh, I'm not a a big fan of casual sex, which I assumed meant Felicia would be a terrible fit for my main MC. And I was proven correct. :p It is a shame that MC had to miss the art expo, though.

The game isn't over yet, but thus far it's been quite good about keeping a solid connection between plausible outcomes and what eventually happens - at least in my opinion. As I alluded to above, some paths will limit the MC's future options, but generally in ways that don't conflict with other choices and make sense given the situation and the MC's mindset.

My advice is to pick whichever options make sense based on how you expect the characters involved to react (including whatever version of the MC you're aiming for) and you'll probably be fine.

I would be very, very surprised if Felicia or Veronica ask you to commit in the sense of a long-term, exclusive relationship. Felicia is married and Veronica plays mostly but not exclusively for the other team.

Felicia is in a marriage that she doesn't enjoy, want or even like, so she will definitely commit to us and be our future wife instead. Veronica, I mean you said it yourself, she is Bi, just cause she likes girls, doesn't mean she doesn't like us, so that will definitely become long term. Don't need to fight for the other 3 girls, cause you didn't bring them up, but they will be long term too, and future wives.

On top of all of this, the main reason we will commit to them and they'll become long term is the simplest reason, they are MAIN LI's. Don't really need much more than that, to know they will commit to us and get happy endings.

I wonder if anyone in here has even interacted with all the content Veronica route has to offer? and I mean everything, being polite to her, lending her your home after the second exhibition when she feels like shit, the date and their sex scene, peeing on her, after everything those 2 have gone through, their relationship has changed from hate to love, they are currently best friends and soon to be more. During the Felicia update, there’s a moment where Veronica is bored at the gym waiting for something, and she even calls you just to chat and pass the time.

They have nicknames for each other, during the date with her its obvious they have chemistry together. Anyone that doesn't see the possibility of an ending where Edwin ends up with Veronica is not paying attention to the story. Could they end up just as very good friends? for sure, but it can definitely be much more.

I could write the same for Felicia but I'd rather wait and see what happens with her marriage after the next update.

Here I ammm, bruh.

I've been exploring all the paths involving interactions with the main 5 chicks, of course. Why should I miss anything involving them?

I want my loving and wholesome happy ending with Veronica and my twisted and depraved happy ending with Kathleen.

Erm, debatable. I'm not sure if it has been said directly, but I'm pretty sure Felicia enjoys the luxurious life her marriage provides and wants to keep it.

That being said, her husband entering the club is a clear setup for marriage failure.
