As we all agreed at the end of a dispute some time ago, all the game characters - males and females - are damaged goods. So, the proper answer would be: none.
(anyway, Hana & Mina are the only available choices, in fact)

Buuuuuuut... since this is an erotic story, the real proper answer is: boobies!

Who do you think would be most rational choice for Edwin's long time partner?

1) Hana - while she's fan's favourite I don't think she would be a good choice in the long term, especially if Edwin would like to have a real family (with kids that is). Since her mother has Huntington's disease it is likely she will have it too (and even if not her then her children).
Hana doesn't have Huntington's, she told us straight on, so it's all good on that front. Kids won't have it either if the parents don't have the gene, and again, Hana doesn't.

Since her mother has Huntington's disease it is likely she will have it too (and even if not her then her children). She's also a criminal basically so there would always be a chance that she would end up in jail (it remains to be seen if she would be left alone once August would be gone and she would have sold her shares). And even though she doesn't have to worry about competition from other crime organisations while August lives, once he's gone she wouldn't have manpower or connections that he has (that could change of course but that would require her to break bad fully and even then she wouldn't be able to reach the status that August has).

2) Mina - now that's a good catch and the best candidate for Edwin IMO. Although I would prefer her to go back to Killian, from a logical point of view she would be the best choice. She's young, intelligent, has a brother (and a good brother-in-law is a treasure) and is steadily building up her career. She also comes from a fairly wealthy family which never hurts. She's a loyal partner too with not much experience (Ian and Edwin and that's it). I could elaborate further but I don't want to make this post a wall of text so I'll stop here.

3) Veronica - the worst choice of all the characters IMO. She's bisexual for starters (and skews towards women at that), with tendency to having many partners (she goes to the club to pick up girls regularly). She's also divorced, has short temper and has a huge debt.

4) Rose - as bad of a choice as Veronica, mainly because she has a kid so Edwin would always be someone much less precious to her. She's also not too bright, has a debt and in general is a very bad long-time partner material.

5) Felicia - even though she's my favourite character I don't think she would be the best choice, though out of all carnations she's the best candidate (but with the bar being so low that doesn't say much). She's intelligent, sophisticated, has no children of her own and has no debts for once. IIRC, she's the only one with higher education out of the people above (she's psychology major).

6) Sophia - she's super intelligent, beautiful, fairly young (younger than Veronica even) and is single. The problem is she seems to be fucked up in the head (at least from what we've seen so far). Still, out of all women that we've seen in PC she would be the best choice for a long time partner for Edwin (excluding Mina). The question is - would she even be interested in Edwin in that way?

7) Lucy - after Felicia the hottest character in the whole game IMO but when it comes to wife material she's less than optimal (mainly due to her having children).

I won't mention other prostitutes (like Andrea, who is sweet and super hot at the same time) or characters above forty (like Grace, who is my favourite MILF) since they are not the most logical choices (the heart wants what the heart wants, here I'm speculating who would be the best candidate on paper).

One of the things I took into account were hobbies and skills those women have and Hana and Sophia win this by far. On the other end of the spectrum is Veronica, it always cracks me up when she says she's a life coach :D. Oh, and thank you TD for adding the "Life coach?" option:

I mean, Hana AND Mina are clearly the most logical choice.

Hoping the "and" was subtle enough here, wink-wink.

Hana doesn't have huntington's disease, could she develop it later on? sure, but if she doesn't, her children wouldn't have anything to worry because neither of the 2 parents have it. Also, what in the actual fuck is that mentality — that because my girlfriend’s mother has a disease, she’s a “bad choice”? What a weird way to dehumanize someone.

Also, Edwin is basically already a criminal too then, given he's just as involved with the Club as Hana, so I don't see how that matters, it's even been mentioned how Hana can just sell her part to Kath and wash her own hands of the whole thing, which would prob give her a shit ton of money, and since your "rational" way of thinking about someone’s future long-term partner is apparently based on their assets rather than who they are, hey, rich goth girlfriend!

Well, no.

If you carry the defective gene, you are a dead person walking. If you don't carry the gene, you are a "normal" person like anybody else.

She clearly tells Edwin she is "safe".

Hana's "heavy baggage" is her dad.

Hi sunaboz , thanks for your list! A few comments from me:

Hana - Hana does not have Huntington´s and cannot give it to her kids. It is a genetic defect, you have it or you don´t, you luckily cannot "aquire" it during your life. As for her being a criminal, I do not know the law situation where PC takes place, but in my country prostitution is legal.
screenshot0066.png

Mina - good write up. As for Ian/Mina reunion, this might still happen if we get Ian to think about his future and behaviour and help those two.

Veronica - fully agree about her being the worst option. Not because of her sexual likes and dislikes, but her character traits like extremly stubborn and short fuse, are a clear no thank you. About her sexuality, the Veronica fans are most surely in for a proper "Strap-on Hallelujah" down the road if they tie the knot with her.;)
screenshot0045.png

Felicia - definitely the best option among the Carnations for several reasons. And with her prenup out of the way one day, we can also make sure there are Feli and Eddy 2 in the making.
screenshot0067.png
screenshot0068.png

Sophia - Yes, I fully agree she is a super long term option and as the probably official leader of the Sophia Fan faction I hope we get a chance to get into a relationship with her, even if the way has to be quicker due to the ingame time. (But I think a lot of the long term stuff we will get in the epilogues for all LIs) It is a personal preference if you say she is eccentric or not right in the head. Thing is, over a certain level of intelligence you operate on several different parameters and it is not the question if you are eccentric, only the question of how strongly eccentric the genius is.

True, as a Veronia fan I can understand all of those flaws and reasons why she's not the best option, but also I am delusional and believe she is just like that for the circumstances also If Wade Winston Wilson takes it in the ass then so can I.

BTW I find it fun that no one mention the true worst option that is Kathleen, and I would totally would choose her.

Yeah, you're right.

Hana: "Uh huh. Huntington's. You know anything about it?"
Edwin: "Do you have...?"
Hana: "No, thank god. I got lucky. Fifty fifty shot of her passing down the gene and it missed me. It's about the only thing I'm thankful to August for."

(...)
Also, what in the actual fuck is that mentality — that because my girlfriend’s mother has a disease, she’s a “bad choice”? What a weird way to dehumanize someone. (...)
As I've said, the heart wants what the heart wants but this is a list of best potential partners on paper. And yeah, had Hana had Huntington's disease that would be a huge problem for various reasons. I don't see how it would "dehumanize" her though.

No, he's not "just as involved". He's a male prostitute basically, performing sexual acts for money. Hana on the other hand is a co-owner now which changes things significantly. As for your assumption that I'm basing this list on their assets - if that is your conclusion we have nothing further to discuss.

Sure, but Hana isn't a prostitute, she's a madame-in-training. And procuring and its derivatives are illegal across much of the western world.
Everybody that work on the club could be called a criminal or at least I doubt anyone would be comfortable saying what they do for living to anyone outside the club.

The line girls would be fine, but even Andrea would probably be charged with "aiding and abetting" at a minimum, and everyone above her would face criminal charges if the police chief wasn't getting pegged in the dungeon room as I type this.

Hell, the protagonist could be charged with procuring given that he's the Carnations' handler, and I doubt any of them would escape being classified as prostitutes.

I know and being a Madame here is not illegal per se. It becomes illegal if there is exploitation and human trafficking, see criminal code StGB §180 and following. While August certainly is guilty, Hana once in control could get by "renting out" PC for the girls working there as their "workplace", a saver option than e.g. the streets. As August once said, Warren and Jacob can be pretty "convincing" to make people think twice.

Hi! You mean Dalia, who is the head girl and Andrea, correct?
