It's not even about the game "sucking" it about the characters all being awful people. Even Andrea who seems to be the "love/romance" option doesn't have Jacks back when he tries to help Maria out. Like we are supposed to help out a bunch of ungrateful A-holes and getting told what a loser Jack is constantly.
I don't mind point and click adventures and puzzles are a fun distraction, but being surrounded by awful characters just kills any desire to help them with there "tasks". Maybe the rewards are great "eventually" but I just don't care to see them anymore.

You know... the story starts with Jack being a failure in live... his brother became a Captain and than crashed the ship being the cause of everyones inconvenience.
Add to that that all girls are top models who are used to or expect that they are waited for on knees.
Jack is the bottomline henchman without real education (many jokes about that made right at the start), riches or personal acomplishments.
Noone takes him serious until they realise that the live they were used to is gone and in this situation he is the best any of them can have.
First become their hero than humble them... but it's hard work to become or even be a hero

Its not even about him being "the best available".
Lets just take a look at the three guys on the island (we're not counting the visitor).
- The MC. The guy is only there because of his brother getting him a job on the ship. Despite that, he has shown himself to be a resourceful, multi-talented guy, able to think outside of the box, a willingness to admit that he doesn't know something as well as a willingness to learn and to defer to someone who knows more, be it learning engineering or a new language so that he can talk to a girl in her own native language, instead of making her struggle with English. He's also an astute student of human nature. Add to that that what he builds/makes often has a positive psychological effect on the others (did he need to repair the resort pool and build a bar? No. But given that everyone has the basics of food, shelter and water covered, there are other needs to be taken care of).
- Eric. The first thing he does on the island? Brings back capitalism. And that's his biggest contribution.
- Davi. Treats his girlfriend like crap and sulks in his room the rest of the time. Oh and despite being in the construction industry, doesn't help in the restoration of the bridge.
The MC has taken the opportunity to remake himself into a better guy, and the girls notice that. And they appreciate that. A lot. And they tell him, like actually thanking him for all he's done.

Just started playing this game and am having crash issues, game keeps crashing every 10-15 min of gameplay.
On launching it has 5-6 sec delay of 'not responding' then it's fine and after 10-15 mins it crashes. Am playing on laptop btw, since i saw same crash issues are reported on Android. Any recommendations?

Hmmm... it's likely the optimizations we're doing right now will help it as well. We're trying to radically reduce the amount of memory required at any one time; unity likes to bloat, if you don't watch it, and there's a lot of stuff cached on load that really doesn't need to be atm. Hopefully the updated build at the end of the month will be a lot less memory hungry.

If you just want animating characters having sex, surely pornhub does that better. The reason to play a game is for the writing and the characters and the gameplay.

hi, does anybody know how to unlock the bikini wallpapers ? i have completed all the quests, max relationship with all girls, ask the girls for swim, but still haven't unlocked it

But why does the money reset to 0 every time I spend some after cheating? I give myself $10, buy something for $4 and I'm left with $0. Very annoying to buy all those swimsuits. Also is there a cheat to always have 100% energy?

The cash is a legacy thing; it's the same underlying engine as Love of Magic, where Cash was just a variable. In Paradise Lust it's an inventory item, so the code to add it is different. It still *listens* to the cash variable, but it's set from inventory whenever you spend money. The script for giving cash would be
GainItem=sexchip, 100
(would give 100 cash).

We'll do another complete Spankbank zip file once we do the next public release (probably in a week or so; we're targeting 27th for our Steam update, then usually it takes a couple of days making sure there's no terrible bugs before we do a public release).
