Legit question, is implementing textbox opacity setting really hard? why cover quarter of screen with textbox when you make good art?

I am having troubles with Man In Black.
Currently I am sitting at 3 levels higher than required, AND adjusted the settings to easy, which does absolutely nothing to alter his stupidly high stats.
I am guessing nobody else have problems with this, but I have been trying to get past this damn quest for 4 levels now, and I cant even hit the thing ONCE, thats not an exaggeration at all, I am going through the battle log every round and have missed every hit every time for 30 rounds, there is something wrong with THAT~!
So what is the fix to the issue here>?
