It's funny, but this episode met my expectations almost entirely! I also saw the game tournament as a device, not a focusReally expected more from this route, there was so much plot potential.
It was more a game about people playing video games.
Ada felt tacked on, her having sex with MC became a minor point.
IMO this update was ass-backwards, Ada should have been the focus with the game tournament as a backdrop, a plot device to get the MC and Ada away and alone. It really didn't matter what the reason was for Ada going off with the MC, it could have been a table setting competition. The dev seemed to put more effort into people playing video games than plot development of his actual video game.
Most of the information gleaned through phone conversations about what was going on in his absence could have waited until he got back.

Honestly, I never expected the Ada route to be all romantic or deep: she's far too naive from a relationship perspective, as we only knew of her prior relationship experience being with that dud spud.
While away together, there was a complete opening of her desires for the MC and that drunken "first time" was a perfect metaphor for how clumsily and ill-planned - but still somehow making it work - the MC has been about EVERY relationship he's manipulating in the harem route thus far, I feel. Adding to the Forbidden route, we can only speculate on how committing to Ada will happen (and likely clash with Emily, Elly, Jenna) - I wonder if it will be similar to the Sweetie/Elly route's ending, where Jenna was part of the mix ... maybe Sofi would be involved?
And, the simple act of going away made the harem members feel even closer to the MC, oddly enough. Those phone conversations relayed a great deal of feelings and even growth.
By the end of this installment, the harem route has been made ready to hit the highway with no apparent speed limits after the Elly pregnancy announcement is managed with Emily, while Ada's future can now operate independent of the MC if that's needed and Sofi has a future too. So, while it might have seemed short and compartmentalized, this brought together a lot of potentialities that have been converging for awhile.
Luxee should have shown that 69 the MC and Ada were talking about at the hotel, though. That was a real omission.
Other than that, people going apeshit from disappointment for more sex scenes beyond (and with) Ada are funny: we all knew this was going to be about their time away together and she was already pretty inexperienced to begin with. It would have been a nice touch to show all the home stuff that was happening too - I can easily agree if that was a point to be made - but, I do expect lots to happen in the next installment because of how the harem story progressed (see my Spoiler section above) in this one.
Let's face it: this installment moved the story ahead a great deal, now things can really get moving with all characters again.
