I am collecting the omake animations not found in the gallery, like outdated and recruit npc animations. A lot of the content is bugged between versions so I am hopping between 5 versions from 1.92 to 2.1.9.

So far I have found crab/brunette officer(crab works on most versions, the most consistent), crab/blonde officer, crab/brunette scientist, and crab/white hair scientist. Crab animation can be forced by dropping aggro near a downed npc. some times the npcs bugout and cant be used again, don't know what causes this.

For worm I found standing blue jacket scientist one time in the hatchery(I think 2.1.1) idk if its rare since its set up to work most of the time you get sent to the top hatchery. worm/blonde officer in top hatchery works same way. there's a worm/brunette scientist animation that's in a bad spot in top hatchery(2.0.3) and cant be forced. I've tried clearing the room and saving her but worms will never use her again even if she's downed or in a new room. the best I've seen of this animation is the last half and its mostly obscured. worm seems to have animations but they are preset and cant be forced, they only work in the spot where they spawn and break if interrupted by other monsters.

I've tried but I haven't seen fly/roach use any npc, don't know if these animations exist in any versions.
Anyone have any more information for the npcs animations?

I didnt even know these animations existed. It would be nice of the developer to atleast put them in the omake section, so they could be viewed that way, if hes not going to fix the associated bugs.

Yeah theres a lot of signs the dev is a novice programmer or using AI. Small things like having the infection level display a number to like 5 decimal places. Pretty sure something taught in programming 101 is even if you use a floating point or double value, if there is no point to display all those extra numbers then don't, use a simple round or floor function which almost every language has or just cut off the last numbers from the string.

yeah they actually have better animations than the protagonist, its a really good scene to get them side by side with each other, but its a major pain in the ass to set up because npcs break and its hard to tell why. i noticing pausing during animations messes up the protagonist so it probably does for them too, also they get interrupted by other monsters which sucks cause they happen in the hatchery. i started using some glitches to help out. if you turn on god mode one stage one of a scene it will lock you in that animation without the risk of game overing.
the dev has the animations on pixiv, idk if they are in the game though.

This game needs to be audited for bugs. It looks very cool, I assume, the developer is a pixel artist and animator. This could be a great game, but it is currently full of bugs everywhere. Using the toilet (any action) causes your character to disappear and you can't use any actions while at this state. You can also duplicate your self sometimes while using items or when getting attacked.

At least, this particular bug was fixed in the version v2.2, download link for it was posted on the previous page, but it's not on the site yet. Vent shafts were also fixed, at least I didn't encounter any further disappearances because of that.

What really bothers me isn't even the bugs (bugs at least gets fixed, even if slowly and often slower than new ones gets added), it's how many things are completely unexplained and/or counterintuitive.
  • "Status" menu gives you only data on things like pregnancy, number of births, and number of times Sarah (player character) had sex. No info on things that actually affect gameplay, like hunger, exhaustion, etc.
  • While we're at that, no way to check what the debuffs that current affect you do. You do eventually figure out that hunger may be the reason why you can't regenerate, and sleepiness may be the reason why everything is so dark, but there are two other icons. The broken heart, at least, shows up after surviving the incubator, so you more or less know what to expect.
  • I completely don't get how to manage the base, it would greatly benefit from some sort of tutorial.

Does anyone have a save right before a baby octopus? I want to do a Cultist Playthrough.
there are some savefiles that I posted on the previous page that will get you much closer to the prerequisite amount of infection for small octopus to appear. For a cultist run, you will want to play normally for a bit, and rescue atleast 9 (8?) survivors to get the cultist ending. Because youll need to betray all of those previously saved survivors. You cannot save survivors after the octopus corrupts you. The save files will also give you plenty of materials, and effectively remove all debuffs, except sleep. (as that is one way to save a game, and skip time) Just so you know, the cultist playthrough is very barebones, and hasnt got much actual substance yet. You cant interract with monsters, except to have them follow you. If you are just doing the run for the scenes, the as-before-mentioned save files also unlocks all of the gallery and omake.

when rescuing them, you have to lead them to a safehouse area, and tell them to wait there. be careful, during a seige, they might get dragged off by crabs if they are downed, although i havent had it happen yet, because the enemies are bugged.

is her affinity high enough? I think it has to be atleast 20 affinity, for NPC to follow you. I dont know if the scientist is a special case though.

Waiting for more bugs to be fixed. I noticed that in case you are killed/caputred by a mob and go back after loading the save, the mob isnt there any more and there are some scripted events, those doesnt happen too when you fail those. I still notice the animation loop bugs. This will be a good game after it will be polished, I like the mechanics and the random enemy and loot spawn, one more thing what others mentioned is the customizable keys and Esc should close every panel what is open like the map...when you open the map with M it only closes when you hit M again. Esc should close it too cuz its basic gamer logic that we hit Esc when we wanna close a previously opened panel. Cant wait this to be fixed.
