I'm hard-stuck at the moment on how to take over the Sorority. Need to dom Amber to make more progress with her mom, but Amber doesn't seem keen to do what it takes to get the protag to sponsor her sorority...?

It's been a while but you need to help Candace / get close to Candace and put her in a position to take over the sorority. Then I believe you need to go to the Mayor's office to speak to the Mayor about a reform to the education laws that you then use to force Amber under your thumb and from there you get Carmichael.

Fix for wedding preparations:
If you chose the marriage path and you got stuck (no Angelica and no "Plan Wedding" option), check the "angelicalike" variable. "Plan Wedding" option located in the Atrium is locked until the value is "4" (just set it manually and you will see the new option).

PS: I think there should be another date option added (before the dinner where you need to choose) that will bump the like value from 3 to 4.
Bit new to these sort of games. How would someone change a variable manually? I can see all the various 'set' and 'if' statements in the HTML file, but past that, I'm stumped.

Hey!
First, you need to open the developer console in your browser (Javascript console). You can find it by clicking the gear icon/three bars icon/three dots icon which is usually located in the top-right corner of your browser. Now find Tools/More Tools and you should see a "Developer Tools" option. This will open a panel. Click on the "Console" tab and you are ready to start your "hacking".

Now, start typing "SugarCube.State.variables" which contains all playthrough state of the game. When you add a ".", you will see lots of variables related to the game state. You can change what you want here but you can crash the game or get yourself into an unplayable loop so remember to save your game often so that you don't have to start fresh.

Remember, with great power comes great responsibility ;)

PS:
SugarCube - the engine all those porn HTML games are built with
State - the current state of the game
variables - changable values used to represent all sort of things: money, power, love, etc...
PS2:
Sometimes, certain values are wrapped in an object e.g. "Player" so some HTML games will require you to do this:
SugarCube.State.variables.Player.money = XXXX;
instead of:
SugarCube.State.variables.money = XXXX;
It is all down to the developer to organise variables. Majority of them are not software developers so they are just all whacked into the "variables" object.

Good luck

There's a "hints" section within the game but unfortunately no actual walkthrough. To speak to Douglas I believe you need a letter of recommendation and talk to him at his place of work. (This is almost always the case when you need to "talk" to one of the big bosses. Letters of recommendation come from amassing money and reputation.)

Lilith is one of your half sisters and she shows up once you have the large house (if I remember correctly). If Saffron is who I think she is (it's been a while) then she's an alternative-ish looking girl that (I think) you meet out on the town somewhere. Wanda may be a wedding gift from your father? (Though I can't confirm that.)

If it’s embedded in a webpage you have to make sure the console’s running the embedded portion. Not sure I’m saying it correctly, but basically make sure the console’s applying to the game and not the site it’s held on.

Just a quick question, as I'm slightly confused about version numbering and links. Are the links under "All:" version 0.7.2? Is "Update Only" the needed files from .0.6 to .0.7, or is it the bugfix? Where is .7.2, in other words?

"All" has the full game at version 0.7, "Update Only" has the update from 0.5 to 0.7. The update from 0.7 to 0.7.2 is in the "0.6 Integration Update"
