No female protagonist. You're a male throughout.
There's some yuri that you watch sprinkled throughout.
Depends on your definition of gore. There's atleast graphic violence in the form of close-ups of people getting shot with a crossbow and having their eyes pop out, along with the MCs mutilated corpse at one* point.
