Well, I was enthusiastic about playing this game, horror-themed games being pretty rare, but sadly I won’t be going to the end.
(//Spoiler\\)
- Art: Not the best, but not the worst either. Good enough that it’s not a negative point.
- Story: A little light up to the point where I am (which is not very far), but I was quite interested in Alice, and even more when I saw the SCP logo on her uniform. Sadly, I’ll probably never know more than that.
- Gameplay: Not the best system, but still playable. It’s pretty easy to understand quickly, so it’s good enough.
Now the bad points:
- Map:
The map is alright, even though having “Map” and “Move” separately isn’t very useful.
My first real problem was the encounter with Gina: the stairs leading to her weren’t interactable, so I was stuck for quite a while not knowing what to do. That wasn’t intuitive at all.
- Save Points:
The game doesn’t save where you want but where it wants, meaning that when you load a save, it sends you either before or after the save point. That makes the idea of a save point quite useless.
- Skip:
No skip option, so you have to manually go through all the dialogue even if you’ve already read it, which is annoying.
- Bug?:
This concerns the Unknown Girl in the laundry room and Lisa in the changing room. There seem to be scenes in those rooms, but the game skipped them, making my first encounters actually the second ones from the story’s point of view.
I ended up giving up when Lisa killed me, sending me back to the teddy bear girl hide-and-seek end event, leaving me stuck and unable to move. Loading a save didn’t work either.
