Hi there!

I wish you all a merry christmas! I hope you all get to spend some time with friends and family the coming days.

When it comes to PQ, work progressses, although at a slightly slower pace. I'll be back at 100% in a couple of days. As I have mentioned before the next update (v3.95), will be shorter than usual. It will have a little gameplay (and a couple of scenes) related to the greyport castle. The rest of the update will focus on overhauling some old scenes and add a few animations. At the moment the following characters are having a scene/animation overhauls:

• Rosy (Milkmaschine scene, image and animation overhaul)​
• Victoria (red corset in bed, animation overhaul)​
• Shakala (extra MM potion option for sex on table scene).​

There is also an ongoing poll for another scene overhaul (images and animation), with Mia, Liandra, Erevi and Shakala as contestants.

No. A lot of players don't enjoy how it plays out, but some do.

Nope. PQ doesn't seem to have a monotheistic religion, makes sense given multiple gods are clearly active in it. It also doesn't seem to have seasons, at least not on the scale of a human lifespan.

There's a longtime supporter who occasionally does fanart using the dev's character models. They do a series of Christmas-themed images every year which are posted in a supporter-only channel on the discord. This one was probably done by them.

I'm not sure many people really connect modern Xmas with Christianity anymore (hell many of us have stripped the word "christ" right out of the holidays name.... Xmas is mostly about the celebration of capitalism for most of the people I know)

I think we should have at least one Xmas update, I'm confident all the girls appreciate a well filled sack. It would be nice to try and gather all the girls in one place to see if we can't give them all some seasonal stuffing.

I mean alot of pagan faiths celebrate a yule festival so a christmas equivalent festival wouldn't be impossible. Maybe when PQ is done we can get a mini Holidays games

Saturnalia was already celebrated in Rome. Christmas just replaced this sacredness with another. Over time, it developed into what we celebrate today. For example, the Christmas tree began sometime in the 1600s. I think that even without much effort, Christmas holidays can be grafted onto a medieval fantasy game

My honest feeling is that Xmas/halloween updates are a nuisance and a waste of time.

They made sense when - back in the days - every patreon funded game had monthly updates, so devs released shorter Xmas specials so they could enjoy their vacation during holidays.

Now they are... scam updates, mostly.

To put it bluntly: most of them are fillers dropped by milking devs who run out of ideas / had enough of their games but still want to cash in, now.

So, kudos to Tinkerer.

Just my 2 cents, of course.

Why not a Lord of Light based Christmas/Yule festival? That could be fun. I'm not saying as part of the game but as a fun game separate from the base game.

At what point did she disappear? Leaving the Temple, along the way back to Castle Tepes, after a fight?

Check Formation (main menu), only the first three companions can do anything. If you also have Doggo she might be in the last spot and needs to be moved up in the order. I put the MC at #1, Oksana at #2, then the two meat shields with Doggo last. When a meat shield dies everyone after him moves up one and Doggo is able to participate in fights again.
