PS on discord:
Thank you, and everyone else for sharing thoughts about the direction of the story. I've been away for a few days, as we just had a big holiday here in Sweden, so forgive me for being a little late to the party. I've always had a plan and I have done my best to try and tell a story that progresses in a realistic manner. But the characters have only been on the island for less than 2 weeks, so I don't think it's fair to say that Brandi has been sitting around waiting for Dylan. Sure, she has had to take a step back into more of a secondary character role, while the story has focused Kelly's adaption to the island and Dylan's personal journey. I see the comic as having an ensemble cast, with Dylan as the main character, characters like Brandi, Kelly and Victoria as other key characters whose storylines and perspectives we get to follow. As such, I can only focus on a few characters at once, and because of that some characters will have periods, when it feels like they have been left behind. I know it's not perfect. But it's the best that I can do. The three main characters are now in the middle of their first threesome, and Kelly has just started to accept having sex with Dylan and her sister. So it would be a massive break from the pacing and the way that I've written my story so far, if the next chapter turns into a massive gangbang.
That being said, I want to be clear that this comic is not a love story between Dylan and Brandi. Although Dylan did always have a thing for Brandi (and honestly who wouldn't), it doesn't mean that he was dreaming of marriage and babies. The comic was never written that way, but I can understand where that idea came from. Equally though, I want to reiterate that this is not a comic about cuckolding or NTR, and it never will be! I admit that I could have handled the chapter where Brandi, Dylan, Gina and Rory had a couple swap, in a better way. But it was genuinely the first time that I had ever written something like that, and I got caught up trying to make hot images, rather than tell the story in the best way that I possible could. If there's anything that I've learned from that whole experience, it's that I shouldn't try to people please, but just tell my own story, in the best way that I can, and hope that you guys like it. Because I write adult comics, with adult themes, aimed at an adult audiences, I have tried to explore sex and relationships in a mature way that you might not normally get to see in a TV show, as I expect a certain level of maturity from the people reading it. This is a comic about sexual adventures, exploration and fun, it's not meant to reinforce stereotypes or restrictive possessive points of view. The whole philosophy of the island I literally the opposite of that.
Freedom, and fun has always been the island mantra. So why can't Brandi, Dylan and Kelly love each other and at the same time explore their sexual kinks? why does it have to be one or the other? At the end of the day, this is fiction, a fantasy. So, ultimately Brandi as a character that can be whatever you want her to be. As a reader, the most powerful tool you have is your own imagination and if you like Brandi or any of my other characters, the best thing that you can do is to imagine them exactly how you want to. There is no right or wrong, just don't tell me that you know what I'm writing better than I do, because that's just not fair. If I can ask anything for you, as readers, then I urge you to break from from the binary thinking of Brandi becoming either an obedient wife, or an island cum-dumpster. Try to think of her as a human being, with kinks and curiosities just like the rest of us. If you can do that, then I am sure that you will have a lot of fun reading her adventures of years to come.
