In other words, a backup plan for the backup plan of your backup plan. That way you can simply wait any one of them out (and you ARE going to have to, with literal
years of "in production" for some).
To me, the consumer, WIPs are little more than "look at me doing something" excuses; if anything, like you said, they ruin the surprise. I get that any craftsman might want to show-off their skill sometimes, or provide some sort of preview/prototype/whatever - there is a word for it, "marketing" -, but I think something like a video should be condensed to several clips and maybe some imagery, not a myriad of WIPs
- all that tells me is you are good at making WIPs.
Either way, plenty of fish in the sea for both sides. Every menu needs variety.
