There is no update. The timeline is that it's been a WIP for over four years, it's left to the sound designer to work on, while the animator has moved on to work on a Mai Shiranui project that will likely suffer the same fate. Who knows, maybe check back in a year to see the sound guy go back and fix sound issues before officially releasing it.
