I was wondering if there's interest in me occasionally posting updates on the development here, like I do on patreon?
Since your patreon updates are public, I just check there every once in a while but I won't say no. :LOL:
At least here you don't have to censor anything if you don't want to... :sneaky:

I'm definitely curious to see what the future holds for that mushroom garden area in you last post. Keep it up!

The game is very cool, interesting and beautiful, so I sometimes check Patreon and read the news. But to be honest, there have been no updates for quite a long time (umm.... 4 months?), that these posts rather look like they are teasing me. XD

In my opinion, it is better to spend this time on accelerating development than on posts on different platforms.

I just.... wouldn't want something like Togetner BnB to happen to this game, which went from "positive" to "extremely negative", and posts with beautiful photos and progress became a meme with trolling the audience for several years.

There are different types of updates. Smaller patches that focus on fixes, functionality, and animations — I can publish those more frequently, since there’s no strict requirement for how much content they need to include.
Story updates, on the other hand, always need to include gameplay (puzzle), so you don’t end up downloading an update just to watch a couple of cutscenes and animations.
I’ve already made one puzzle for the next update, and I don’t want to split it up, because that would mean having to make another puzzle.
Cutscene creation in Unreal has its quirks, I can’t pump out frames as fast as your typical VN dev. It takes quite a bit of time to make sure the shots don’t look like crap.
I just need to learn to plan a bit more modestly.

Yea, i agree with all your sentences. VN update and UE are way different. I think...i understand all of that in our mind, but my heart say something like: "THAT WAS GREAT, I WANT MORE!!!"

ArcaneSpoon just don't get too carried away and give too many details. Many devs came here to be transparent only to in turn be hated because they can't animate, fix bugs, optimize and create gameplay all at once while releasing updates quickly..

when i play my cursor gets locked inside the game and if i have anything on the side or what to click out of the game for whatever reason i have to quit the game first
is there anyone who knows a solution to this

I hope so, but right now I’m having serious doubts about the imp. The fact that he’s so small might be a problem for Steam. I sent support some screenshots of the characters, and they replied that they’d need to see the actual scene to give a definitive answer. It seems like their whole system just isn’t designed to provide this kind of feedback.

I’d really prefer not to waste time on this, so if anyone can point to games on Steam that have scenes with characters similar to the imp, that would be great.
