There's actually just a couple of steps to get the layout right the first time you play; mostly just dragging the edges of the windows to look about right compared to the screenshots I included. Then clicking on the picture window so it doesn't squash the images.
A known issue. Almost certainly a false positive. If it skeeves you out, you can use the blorb instead. Have to install adrift yourself, though.
what ancient AV are you using? kaspersky doesnt say anything on my end. apart from that, bbben is a known coryphe in the porn game business. it's 100% safe to play the game. in fact, the chances are higher that nazis on dinosaurs will be roaming around ya neighborhood while vulcanos emerge out of nowhere, spitting out tons of lava than having an infected game from bbben.
Doing x monster might be good anyways, there used to be an Easter Egg or something extra for doing that. Always loved BBBen's games, even back in the Yahoo AIF forum days...watching this one just grow has been great.
I don't dispute your comments about BBBen. Love his games. Yet I find that I often have to go behind others and clean programs due to some simple mistake. Until you have had your identity stolen as I have you may never understand the problems that may arise and I hope you never do.
I always disable my AV when unpacking because of the very relevant false positives with renpy games. I then always scan the folder afterwards. I don't recall ever getting a hit of something detected till this morning after unpacking this file. I hope its not accurate, but im just putting this out there.
if something EVER has a virus on f95, be it in a file or be it the upload website itself, the mods won't hesitate to delete it in an instant. that being said, the files for this game are taken directly from the source, meaning from bbben's own download link.
. one even said that his norton threw steam.exe out of his windows, without any reason, hahaha.
my pc is on japanese non unicode either, and the game worked without any problems. so i highly doubt that the non unicode is at fault here. still, if ya wanna find out how to change ya non unicode on the computer (i personally suggest not using an emulator, instead change it on pc), check this link out:

if i were you i would just wait 'till bbben responds ^^. most of us players here actually don't know much about the software adrift. so most of us can only guess and assume. what would be a good ideas is, if you could screenshot that error and post it here. you can screenshot by clicking on the "print" button. a windowed screenshot can be done by clicking and holding "alt" and then clicking on the "print" button (the print button / key should be on the top right corner of ya keyboard).Thanks for pointing this out. considering it keeps happening with adrift and the developers of the engine are not really doing anything to resolve the issue, have you ever considered changing engine yourself?
