Just gonna warn everybody not to support this guy.

I was a patreon for PestilenceSFM back in 2018 ish. Kept hyping up his "Max project", would release a WIP gif every now and then. Claimed it was 95%+ done. Updates got less frequent, then he stopped updating at all. Radio silence. No like family emergency, no nothing.

I cancelled my patreon sub but I would check every now that both a) no new patreon post and b) several hundred people still subbed. We accuse devs of milking on these forums alot but this guy has been making bank doing nothing for years. I think he started up again in 2021?

I only noticed him back this year. It's very strange to see a long Max Caufield animation now 6 years later. It doesn't even look as good as his usual work, not sure why the lighting is so flat. But more importantly, kinda proves he lied about it all those years ago. I'm guessing he actually started work on it post 2021.

Pest has been making this mistake since his Amicia videos. He spends too much time setting up the scene, and I don't know if it's to make the video longer. Blood Loss spends half of the video on nonsense that no one wants to watch. Even if he didn't release a Director's Cut, the chase would take up 2/3 of the video.

the amicia one is pretty good because of setup and tension
which as it turns out in a sea of porn, is something SFM rarely has
Nyl's bordello has a ton of setup relative to your average loop

By focusing too much on the setup, this guy puts the cart before the horse and loses sight of the main objective, which is fucking her. How many times do you go back to see the long-winded intro?

I'm not against the presentation, but I don't see the point of the fucking scene lasting like 2 minutes at all. It was the same for Max Project, the good stuff was all in the Instagram short scenes. I think everyone who follows him agrees we want the characters to be toyed with.

Cold Storage and the one where Jill shoots herself are actually the one I think does this good, with the killer grabbing her from multiple parts and making her bounce and be moved around like a doll instead of 1 minute of the killer rubbing against her leg on a loop.

I must say that while necro is not my thing, the Max Movie is one of the finest quality works I've ever seen. There is something oddly satisfying about seeing the villain achieve absolute victory and psychologically destroy everyone who loved her.
