Oh, huh. I guess I should've figured this game would make it here at some point.
I've been following your development silently, and I suppose I should give feedback at least...
I wish the scenes didn't result in a game over, since most of the grabs just have you struggling to escape with the healthbar you have and they don't progress until that's empty, which is a shame... Coulda been good to have them progressively drain your health while the animation continues and loops (past the grab stage, i mean) - and only really gameover/curse you if your health runs out at any point. This would allow the player to see the animation outside of a gallery in full and STILL keep going after seeing it, as opposed to having to sacrifice a life (or in this case some progress) to do so.

Aside from that...
it's a promising thing you're working on, and I shall watch your progress as I have done before. The platforming is a little clunky, but otherwise the game is very playable and I haven't encountered anything gamebreaking, which is more than can be said about half the projects that get uploaded here. The scenes are great for what they are, and it's shaping up to have a good variety of creatures.

Quite original and well crafted losing scenes, a few things to improve:

- Double jump often gets triggered immediately, if you don't release the space key fast enough
- Starting from the beginning everytime you get a scene is rather tedious Nvm you can save in certain spots

Lunalyst you seem to have included the .git folder in the compressed file, which is unnecessary. I was wondering why the zip file was bigger than the extracted files :BootyTime:

I appreciate the feed back ^_^ in the future I'm hoping to have enemy that have more animation stages before the player has been defeated. its something on the list for sure. in this current version I'm glad i ironed out most of the bugs and it should hopefully stay that way as i add more content. though there is a secret if you can manage to clip out of bounds.

cool demo, weird engine choice
its mainly phaser 3 that does the heavy lifting for the game engine. i took a class in college going over the basics of using it and I ran with it from there. its honestly a good engine choice as it gives me a lot of flexibility to do what i want, with the bonus of being easily set up for downloadable versions, browser run versions, and i even set up mobile controls. the tough part is just keeping the assets from getting too big as that has been a issue in the past. phaser 3 can be a little inefficient here and there.

dam, that explains the size discrepancy. ill see if i can fix that sometime soon. as for the double jump ill also have to play with that at some point as well. for now its not too big of a issue, but i know it drive some people nuts so if I find a good work around ill be sure to include it.

gave it a quick spin will try to organize thoughts and sugestions below

combats more likely to get the player an early game over in its current state. it took a bit of trial and error but i was able to figure out the hurtbox of the players attack... its really short could lead to some cruelty later.

speaking of player attacks the lack of an air attack makes flying foes like the bee a slog esp with the short range your better off just running away.

doubble jumps on a hair trigger, not nessasarly bad but i found long presses of the space bar makes it activate early and eat most of its hight, btw what was up with that one sign with the poetry or i think thats what it was.

some weirdness where the player would sometimes be facing the wrong way seemingly randomly.

bellow is just sugestions feel free to ignore them

shame the cursed states are not playable in some fashion even if its just an excape the room to get uncursed scenerio... could be a good way to gate player upgrades like get turned into a rabbit unlock doubble jump in that state escape and get uncursed and you keep it. bounus if later foes use those unlockable abilites on the player.

a simple three hit combo attack would be nice given the short attack range makes misses very bad news.

it is a nice platformer and a good start too.

Hi, what game engine are you running?
Trying on Joiplay and it works.
Issues:
- Game hangs when pressing Atk
- Not sure if PC has same issue or not but screen size is small so the button keys hovers over text box when text box appears
- At some point into the game the game hangs when pressing jump button (it's random, sometimes early sometimes quite far)
