One thing that does concern me. There are so many options, will the dev be able to handle all these variables and routes?

Well, according to my post you can see that they can be boiled down to 2 major routes:

1. One where MC & Julia have a kid (Faithful + Sharing + Cuckold). With only the Cuckold path requiring more unique dialogue because of Penelope's paternity.
2. One where MC & Julia don't have a kid (Cheating + Open Relationship).

Dimajio himself stated he did his best to consolidate the paths as closely as he could, and judging from the above circumstances, the game only really has 1 major variable that separates the paths - the MCs being parents. And since I believe he plans to have most of that difference expressed through dialogue, (un)fortunately for us, it won't necessitate that much branching.

From what I could tell, it basically uses the same setup as the Cheating path - the couple are married & don't have a kid. Don't expect it to influence the game too much, as Julia is horny on ALL of them, and PE2 is a soft "reset" on their relationship status otherwise.

Well, going forward, that will depend on how many paths the dev decides to include. A friendly reminder that selecting the ending of the first game as basis for the second does not mean that is the path you're locked on for PE2 - it's just for story basis! PE2 is a soft "reset" of their relationship, meaning you can choose to be a cuckold after being in an open-relationship, or choose to have Julia cheat after being in a Faithful path.

i.e. the number of paths in PE1 is not a guarantee that you will have that many paths in PE2. We saw how the dev stressed himself out with Exploring the Big Apple because of 4 different paths - I assume PE2 will have less. Time will tell.

There are 5 "endings" to choose from when asked at the start of the game (for story setup):

These are the options you can pick from if you select "I played the first game from start to finish". If you haven't, the game defaults to the Loyal/Faithful/Vanilla ending for the first game, and uses that setup for PE2.
