The audience of those games is very fragmented and requests always and everywhere an opt out choice. Wants to go one step whereas the next one already is seen as absolutely intolerable. Must be tiresome for a dev.

To be fair, SadPepper didn’t say he was abandoning the game or stopping making NTR games… just shutting down their Patreon and (presumably) slowing down development.Another NTR game bites the dust.

That said, the “stepping offline” part of their announcement post gives me pause…
Just saw that he changed his message slightly on patreon - cut out the "being associated with such games" part. Maybe he felt it was saying too much? Leaves an odd taste altogether.
He says he thought about it for longer now. Appears similar to the Big Apple game when he had just started the new character arc and then stopped. Same here: just started the new game and then that.

That basically confirms personal issues as the sole reason behind the shutdown.
Makes sense; the dev got burned out keeping to such a rigorous schedule, and seeing the frankly negative (lukewarm at best) reception to his latest project gave him the push to reshuffle his personal & professional workflows.
Like I said, expect PE2 updates to slow down significantly. At most, an update every two months from now on.

I hope it is not because of the negative comments he was getting... THat would be a shame for us here . I would understand if it was too taxing a work schedule to do a part time job basically with all that may be going on in he life...

My guess is the combination got to him.
However, it's important to note that most of us here gave constructive criticism to the developer, instead of just bashing his game with stupid "arguments".

i like most of devs stuff over all, why else would i play it. alas i think its funny that anyone thinks negative reviews are at fault for anything. personal attacks(none of which i saw against dev here, so they are either deleted or imagined) have no places
regardless, this is a forum for discussion and sometimes that means dissension, not your participation trophy awards ceremony.

Criticism is inherently a "negative" thing. But there were never any personal attacks, which are much more heinous. Stop trying to defend the developer's feelings, I am sure he is capable of doing that himself.
Very sad to see another great game getting abandoned. .its now very rare to see a quality NTR 3d game..if one such comes it always gets abandoned

The announcement doesn't say it's getting abandoned. It says pretty much the exact opposite of "it's getting abandoned".
