Ok, I gave it 15 minutes of gameplay and it's just not for me. I don't like the combination of gen 4 overworlds with your typical FRLG tileset. They just don't match at all. But then again, I know Essentials only auto assigns these passables with the FRLG tileset it comes with. All other tilesets floating on the internet you add in your game you'll have to manually do yourself which is a huge pain in the bum. Heck, theirs even a Gen 4 tileset from HGSS, but then you have to do the passables yourself. It's still worth it in my opinion if you really feel the need to make this all occur in boring Kanto.
I see spelling and grammar mistakes at the very beginning already that put me off and it's just basically FRLG that I have played way to many times already with only minor events changess here and there followed by a shake-up of charathers / Pokémon. If only this Kanto map gets turned into a whole new region it was a new region to explore; maybe then we're talking.
I mean; you claim this project is already going on for 1,5 years? With the knowledge I have how RPG Maker XP + Essentials works this really hasn't been long in the oven in all full honesty. You really can acchieve a lot more within that time-frame if you have the know-hows. Is it your very first Essentials project? I'm curious. Maybe that's why it feels so lacking in 'new content' through my point of vieuw. I sure do reconize you might have seen some Thundaga tutorials recently.
Some of these overworld sprites also don't really look that good. If you really want an overworld sprite to look like gen 4, at least use gen 4 overworld base and draw it yourself. Spriting is not that hard. Just add pixels, one by one and with practice and time you'll get there. Been there done that. I'm a learning spriter myself. Slowly and steady I know I'm getting there. Heck, there is even a whole pack of clothes and hair in gen 4 format you even can simple drag and drop with MS Paint to be found on THE resources site for these kind of project if you lack spriting skills everyone can made a ton of various gen 4 overworlds with ease. Theirs so many resources floating around. Make use of it.
At least you're on your game with crediting; which is a huge plus. What I also like are the starter choices. I like Houndoom.
I'll check on it later in good faith that critical changes gets made when it truly becomes a worthwile fangame to play. Because in the state it currently is in; it ain't for me, chief.

Either way; good luck further. I hope you make good use with my criticism. o7
