Poll, how do you usually name the protagonist?

mainly i create a diferent personality for playing games in general. If im playing a warrior i use the same name for my warriors, if i play a healer i use the same names for my healers
and in this case, when i play H games i use Baitch as my main name

For the most part I do tend to name the protagonist after myself. I like to be part of the game experience it.

If it's females it'd be a Homosexual Lesbian, otherwise i'd keep it default or change it to the game's lore, Incestious Inbred Twins etc

Generally Dave/Amy Turner. Names chosen because I have no emotional connection to them. I really dislike seeing my own name in the game (especially when the protagonist is a git).

If it's a game I don't take seriously, I'll give it a silly name like potato-eater-69, but I usually use my own name.

Dick Tugboat. It gives me a layer of separation from the protagonist for when he does something stupid or rancid, and if someone asks me to share a save file I can usually make 'em laugh when I show it to 'em.

I don't ever use my name; I just leave it to the game's default name. If a game doesn't provide one, the MC is probably just a self-insert with no real character, so I just name it Player.

tbh, i usually go with the default name if its a jr-pg; fire emblem, bravely series, etc. but if its in like a vn or other kind of game (terraria for example) i go with Sol usually.

I hit Enter, because I am curious if there is a default and what it is then am too lazy to do over. Some games you just go by a blank space

In most cases I leave the default name. I only rename if it's a male MC with a name I don't like.

If there's no name, then I use my own name for male MC. As for female names, I like any name that ends with an 'a'.

For male protags It's either my old online handle appended into a normal(ish) sounding name, or Alexander because its a default name I've used for rpgs forever. It's the default protag name from kings field 2, so yeah been using that literally my entire life.

Femprotags are either Alex, Katherine or Ishtar. Alex is obvious, "Shining Ishtar" was the name of a weapon I liked using in one of the old monster hunter games and I don't remember where Katherine came from. I'd bet it's from a game too, but It could be I just have always liked that name.

If there's the option, the protag's surname is always Adamson. Cus yknow, we're all sons and daughters of Adam at the end of the day.
