Depends on the game and premise. Anything goes from 20 to 40 I guess. Wouldn't necessarily like to play as an old man.

Occasionally I like to play as a shota/young boy in japanese or western 2D games as well. There is something about it.

I'd say 28 into his early 40's.

You supposedly reach your physical pique if you're not a fat lazy slob in your mid to late 20's.
