We seem to have identical types of strange. Maybe we’re less strange than you thought?I consider gay sex in porn as an extremely exotic spice in my food; I might enjoy it in small dozes. I don't exclude games with gay tags but if I see that the game is focused on a gay protagonist I will probably skip it.
Caveat: even though I have personally wrote several gay sex scenes myself, I need one of the guys to be very feminine and the other(s) very manly in order for me to enjoy the scene. If both dudes are manly, it's a huge turn off for me, I can't even see them kissing. People are strange, me included.
For me, it's the reverse. Even if one of the guys is feminine, is a turn off for me, usually both of them must be manly for me to start enjoying it.Caveat: even though I have personally wrote several gay sex scenes myself, I need one of the guys to be very feminine and the other(s) very manly in order for me to enjoy the scene. 1. I got some people curious but never a huge backlash. For me, it's the reverse. Even if one of the guys is feminine, is a turn off for me, usually both of them must be manly for me to start enjoying it.
Have you got a huge backslash from having the gay tag, for just one or two scenes? One thing I never understood is why so many straight devs risk having the gay tag, just for a few scenes (femboy, sissies, etc...), where you know that a lot of straight guys would skip your game at the sight of the tag, and gay players won't play either as it's a 99% straight game.
I know, bi games exist, and some devs have that kink too of liking very feminine guys. Hell, I like masculine FtM guys. But I often wonder if it's worth the risk of having the tag in the game.
Gotta respect that, it's my policy too.2. Why risk having some gay scenes in a straight game? I don't engineer the game to be commercially successful, I add what I find to be hot. So far it works for me.
