thanks for the bug reports and feedback.

just to clarify about happiness. i already replied to someone but this was never intended. it's a programming error which should've been caught by the engine and throw an error. it didnt and as a result shit's messed up.
you can have max happiness but still become unavailable due to low happiness.

you've all played some sort of schizo wandering off for weeks without any control.

Tried this game after about six months and I am disappointed. I like the idea, it looked promising, I want good management games in the genre, but...

The core gameplay has barely improved or not at all in some cases. Shooting porn is boring as ever, but now with more hoops to jump through, which makes it worse. Pretty much the same with running the company. And most added features are fluff that barely works and heavily underdeveloped, which in addition to weak core gameplay makes the game frustrating.

Some suggestions(Sorry for massive wall of text):

Stats. Currently the stats are pretty grindy and unfun. Maybe make them much more static and varied, so they represent natural tendencies, except fitness. Charisma, art, intellect, beauty, etc. Fitness is fitness and it affects stamina and it decays at certain rate, lets say 10% of your stat per week, so that and average one is easier to keep up, but chiseled body requires more investment. Other stats should affect effectiveness of...

Career paths and activities. Currently one of the big problems is that MC has very little to do, and what they do do, doesn't have enough impact or significance. Things like directing, HR/scouting should be activities like editing and award exp points, which turn in to levels, which, let's say allow you to pick one of the two perks per level. Hired people have and advance in one or two careers, MC can have all of them. And every career relies on, let's say two stats. For example:
Editing - Art + Int.
Porn-star - Beauty + Charisma
Director - Int + Cha
Scouting/HR - Int+Cha and so on.
At certain levels of career a character gains bonus to a base stat associated with the career. Keep certain professions like doctor, make-up artist or lighting technician limited to NPCs.
Instead of grinding charisma bar is another location to relax and scout.
Library replaced with college where you can sign up for courses to gain exp in your chosen subject.
Bonus perks from leveling give special powers, a scout can(or much more likely to) find potential models while preforming activities like relaxing or studying. Editor can fix fuckups during shooting etc.
Company should probably have it's own tech tree with stuff that make shooting cheaper and more efficient, bonus chemistry etc.

Shooting porn. Current system is needlessly complicated early and not fun soon after. And there is a lot of quantity over quality going on. Picking poses should affect the outcome. Duration should affect the outcome. Prep work should affect the outcome.
"Quckies" should stay and but more flexible and with some drawbacks. Amateur level at the start, slightly better later and peak at "Girls do porn" level when you have a proper set-up and skills to churn them out even without a crew. But with some drawbacks, like if you go into it blind with a new model, you might not know her likes or dislikes or special features(good or bad at blowjobs or facials etc.) and they might refuse to do some stuff or a massive fuckup may happen if you try something complicated. You may have a pre-lit set with cameras in place for quicker shoots and higher quality.
More pre-planned and high production shoots take more time and effort, but have more reliable results. You start by picking a theme, picking poses based on a genres you want to hit(vanilla, rough, anal, BDSM etc) and the duration. Pick a location(rent, get permits). Pick a crew(hire freelancers to fill missing slots you want to fill). Pick actors. Schedule, pay for rent, props etc. Prep work on set on the day(and you have to show up). Try to fix problems that occurred(one freelancer didn't show up or cameraman is down with flu etc). Shoot. Decide if you want to reshoot parts that went badly(random events) or fix them in editing later. You may want to hire a photographer to take photos for promo material or an editor can make a promo-video. Multiple thing going wrong should happen often, especially if the cast and crew are not too big, have good chemistry are not in over their head.
The amount of work editing requires depends on stuff like lighting, how many cameras, how many fuckups happened during the shoot, amount of footage and how much you want to polish it. There should be a cap how much an editor can improve the quality and the effort required should probably grow exponentially.
The complexity should grow very gradually.

Staff and scouting. Amateurs, semi-pros and pros. For a model it's something like "pure amateur"(that you or your scouts pick up on the street), semi-pros are prostitutes and cam-girls, pros are pros and legends are top of the field, possibly unique characters. Depending of what you are looking for, you scout in different locations. Cam-girls type on the internet, pros at agencies and porn-conventions.
Freelancers are less reliable, can be more expensive and uncontrollable, but usually take flat fee. People on contract require steady pay and maybe even a cut of the profits.
Scouts look for potential models in the bar, college or over the internet. And get the contact info to your database. Some may not want to work with your company. Some require a casting couch session. Some may have...

Special traits. Hidden things that you discover about cast and crew. A model may be really good at "theatrical" moaning and blowjobs, or the opposite. Really good at facials or make weird face instead. A director may be a creative type that goes off-script but their quality is better, or they may be a tyrant asshole people don't like to work with, but they get the job done. An actor may have an "iron hand" that holds the camera steady during sex, which is really good for amateur, semi pro or POV shots etc., etc. Those traits should be hidden until encountered or maybe a good scout can figure some of them out in advance.

Porn industry. Multiple studios and distributors that to their own thing. In the beginning you may work part-time at some of them if you have skills. You can hire out your contracted models and crew to them or hire theirs. You can make and sell videos for specific distributors or buy videos for your own website. Their output affects how saturated the trends are. A genre may be popular, but saturated to the point where you won't get noticed unless you put out something outstanding. Or a certain site may go down or get involved in a scandal leaving unfulfilled demand for you to jump on.
There should also be events where you can network and maybe raise your profile. Awards.

Industry Reputation. You earn by being good to people you work with and avoiding major fuckups(STD outbreaks, traumas on set, major assholes on staff). You lose doing the opposite. Loss of reputation is in "hits". First hit within last thirty days loses one point, second hit loses two, third - four, fourth - eight and so on. Bigger fuckups(STD outbreak, your star ODed) can cause multiple hits. You can mitigate some of the damage with good PR people on staff and rectifying the issues.
Depending on your reputation, models and higher level crew are more likely to work with you and even send in resumes if high, or refusing to work with you, demanding higher pay if low.

Publishing and website. Early on, instead of just clicking publish you sell your videos to publishers. Maybe for a cut of the profits, maybe for a flat fee if you need money now. You have very little control over the process, unless you upload to a site similar to pornhub with free porn and ad revenue.
Your own websites allow you to publish your stuff(or even third party videos) and control how you monetize them. Free(ad-supported) drive a lot of people to your site, has low revenue and requires higher sever costs and actively selling ad-space. Selling videos has higher profit margins, lower server costs but requires quality, and more marketing. Subscription requires bigger catalogue, unique content and regular update. Selling videos for a time and then adding them to your subscription catalogue might be a good option.
Livestreaming is also a thing both free with monetization options and as a unique content for subscribers.

One other thing. The options for player should appear gradually so the amount of options is not overwhelming. And automation of the process should also be gradual and not full-on after 30 minutes of the gameplay. But player should be able and required to do something significant at every point of the game with short, medium and long term goals. Right now the numbers just rise and replayability is poor with only one path to "the top" that doesn't really exist.

Here's a gameplay scenario:
Player starts with high int, medium charisma and 2 levels(out of 10) in web-admin and 1 level in scouting. Finds a job maintaining one of the pornsites for medium publisher. Starts his own site and looks for cam girls on the internet to make some content. Site grows, but revenue is low, so he takes out a loan, quits his job to maintain the site full-time, maybe starts producing videos with cam-girls, maybe rents a studio for higher quality production, hires an assistant, etc., etc.
Or player is a low level porn actor, and works with studios as a freelancer and decides to make his own videos because he is unsatisfied with what he does now. Picks up girls, makes some higher quality amateur videos, opens own studio and so on.
Or player is a cam-girl live-steaming on some platform and starts to make higher production videos, invites other cam-girls or picks up a dude, opens her own site and it grows from there.

That's a big wall of text...

Two things came to my mind right after reading your comment:
a) you do not have a solid border between micro and macro management. On the one hand, you demand "easier" conditions and otoh you suggest a more attention demanding style, like even more desasters and even some career changes to staff and MC. You know this game is run by a one-man-show, do you?

b) the roadmap is clearly layed out on patreon and mbmb's blog. You find his comments and useful insights here in the this thread. So you could know about where this whole thing is heading to and being not amused by a pre-V1.0 (beta, demonstrator, early access, you name it) is hardly something I do mention, but in your case, maybe this game is not meant for you. Try other like PoP, BM, JoN, FC... Hell, even Biiing! or Lula... You can have more challenging micro-management there if you up the difficulty. This is not an offence, just an observation.

Compared to what version? I got a 0.60 lying around, and I do like the improvements made.

Hmm... you could cheat, you know? I mean, I do like the challenge for the no-STD-perk. You want this, you got to earn it. I play a character without cheat menu and it IS a grind. So what? I could have went for another option, but sometimes I like to check out, if that route is actually doable, e.g. no-STD and no-agencies perks combined.

Career paths and activities.
Interesting, maybe a bit demanding if applied to staff, too, but mbmb could opt for a general diffculty switch there.

Maybe, but "developing" traits was V0.3-V0.6, maybe as a option, yes, but as a general rule I would prefer stable conditions with 90+ actors, and not having a hidden "depressed" trait hiding in the shadows...

If I was too personal, that was not intended. You may have to dive into the limitations of the Godot engine to find out stuff tat mbmb can not do so easily as with Unity or other development suites. The progress may be not in a speed you would like, but again, this is not EA, Blizzard or Psygnosis: Mbmb has to cope with the time available, and PE may not always be the top priority. I'd love to have a modding option, but I did the rtfm on Godot and it's a real pain in the back to implement. Maybe in V1.4+ there is an option to have customs...

I want more interactive, more immersive experience. Currently every porn scene is like every other porn scene both in process and the result. The number changes, but overall it's still the same. You either shoot a quick scene with yourself or click some buttons in the studio, or your assistant schedules a whole bunch of scenes. Full automation from 0$ in couple of months make little sense. Quantity over quality. Controlling more aspects of the production, and then delegating and automating them as you grow is fun.

Not really. They behave the same. There is barely any difference besides numbers in their profile. That's kind of the point.

i like career paths. lot of content to implement tho. maybe.
shooting porn. thats a shit ton of coding and so many things to keep track of. without some really dedicated testers there would be a lost of hotfixes lol
i do try to move slowly from quantity to quality. thats why all the happiness limitations, getting more money per scene so you dont have to shoot literally every day.
i've also included themes in the last dev build (sport, office, hosital,...) based on where you shoot. i've also had an option to create other building types, not just studios. slowly but surely.
brazzers is shitting out 2 scenes per day. thats sorta the end goal. when we get there there will be more micromanaging per scene like some you mentioned.

staff will get their own perks, when i come up with some.
porn industry & reputation is coming in the future updates. some ai rival companies to keep late game more enjoyable. or to fuck you up at the beginning.

website is getting expansion. caming service for starters.

i like the early publishing options. thats something i wanted to implement in the past and really dont know why i didnt.

like mentioned theres no assets store on godot so i have to write everything from scratch. it takes time.

i dont want script based mods until i(and they) figure everything out.
godot doesnt run in sandbox, so some motherfucker could just execute random shit and kill processes. you would have to really trust the modmaker in godot.

The problem of content is also my point, but until mbmb opens up a channel to actually participate in the process of creation (animations, bodies, clothes) aka "modding" or customs, the game will lack these points you miss. Until the version progresses to 0.8, there will be not that much added according to the roadmap.

If you happen to have some exp as programmer, think of Godots animations as "movement of drawing masks". So it is surely a lack of more masks to create a different option. The work for creating a mask may not be the point, but the animation itself is, let me put it mildly, quite demotivating. Well, it's not a 3D game, where you just slap on the mesh and bones, rough up some deformations and voila (like unreal engine), it is more like the old 8bit sprite system, which is more work for the developer.

Including your ideas has a certain amount of coding needed, and I would like it a bit like FC: you want it, you code it. You can see my CSig also in some files there. But mbmb did not privide any code snippets for possible alteration nor is decompiling/unpacking a friendly option.

Yes, we should encourage mbmb to open a "mod" channel, so you could have your variations and maybe more. But I do not know - and I doubt it - that mbmb could handle the incomming (mask/animation) flood without having a proper modding system (or a rough outlining of variables) to use implemented in the first place. PE is not open source.

Thats to problem of Godot... Sometimes to powerful and sometimes to lightweight.

Maybe it would be possible to have a mod folder, in which files (masks) for clothing and accs could be loaded into the game at startup?
You could do a name convention, like folder structure, and those masks would load at the end of the "currently used" ones.
So my choker would be "mods/acc/necklace/mychoker.png" loaded into the game to postion 26 (25 in use). Maybe that would open up some content...

At first, it should only be masks for colored things (necklace, bracelet, earring, clothes), later on, you could define a guideline how things colorable ingame (eyes, hair, etc.) should be made in format (png/tiff/dds), greeyscale or coloring mask (limited multiply)...
Later, when you defined the new body frames, you can open the body for masks, too.

All you would need to provide is the folder structure, maybe sizes for the masks (256x256 or higher), a template is always the best way to kick off something like this, so maybe just the neck area for easy modding of the necklaces... you get my drift, right?

Also you should open the possibilty for you to "implement" it for free/name crediting/you name it... All stuff I do is always free, because when I like to have that thing ingame, maybe others would like it, too.

Currently I mod some RimWorld, because it has these huge possibilities of defining things...

idk if i updated public roadmap but next in line is adding little more to the company.
managers, website and other branches of your empire.
mostly refining everything we got, expanding some stuff here and there.
then jump to mansion and some relationships mechanic.

I don't get what the exact process to unlock clothes is, I guess it has something to do with fucking/hiring the girls but it's a bit unclear to me and if so, how do even I unlock the ones under the "Theme" or "Erotic" category ? Would someone mind helping me with that ?

@mbmb Ahh, I didn't see the post that confirmed it was a bug with happiness. I'm happy that isn't going to be feature as it makes several days useless as you can't do anything but skip. Overall I really like the game, though I would like if locations were predisposed to spawn certain girls, like Library spawns intellect, gym spawns fitness, maybe park spawns charisma, beach spawns beauty, bars spawn a wide variety, mall spawns teens and milfs and so on so on.

I really am looking forward to the sex club. I'm not sure if it will be there as well, but have you considered adding a strip club to the game for more variety? Seems like a good place to find new talent. Also the talent agencies seem to always give me awful girls, not sure if its bad rng on my part or if there is certain numbers at play in terms of popularity.

I really like the custom girls, it really adds a bit of life into the game and hope you either add more to the girls already in or add in new girls as they are a pretty fun addition.

Will definitely be looking into supporting you on Patreon if the game keeps progressing well. Keep up the good work!!!

Can I request a spawn rate slider? Maybe in the cheat menu? Like, maybe I want to play a game where 90% of the woman spawn pregnant o.0. Or in anther game, I want 99% of girls to spawn as white, and I play the 1 black man in the entire city... ^.^

1. A place to relax at night, maybe? I know you can go home but. Also when relaxing maybe have a chance for a woman to approach you, if fitness/charisma is high enough.

2. Coffee shop location. Maybe the player starts with no utilities and has to use the free wifi and a chance to pick up chicks.

3. Hotel receptionist could be added.

4. Even though the Mall is open to eight, it seems that past 7 it's unavailable. Bug or am i a idiot?

5. I asked before but probally looked over. PA's in the wild, possible or not. Haven't come across any.
