That's not how taxes work. WWG wouldn't even hit the 35% bracket in the US. Say WWG averages 5k a month for a year for a total of 60k.

In the USA federal tax works as follows.

The first $11,600 of that would be taxed at 10%

The next $11,601 to $47,150 would be taxed at 12%

The next $47,151 to $100,525 taxed at 22%

California which has high state income tax

$0 to $10,756. 1%

$10,757 to $25,499. 2%

$25,500 to $40,245. 4%

$40,246 to $55,866. 6%

$55,867 to $70,606. 8%

I don't understand how people here seem to think someone making at least $50k+ a year with no travel expenses is just scraping by and breaking even with no savings. Yes it's been so long since we've had an update that we're now discussing taxes.

Man, been patiently waiting, but over a year, and barely any word up to and after that point. And this was such a fun game too (minus the NTR bits that I skip in game, but people post here in the thread anyway).

$2000 for rent lol. Yeah again maybe if he lives in NYC. The median rent/mortgage in the US if $1,400, if he’s in a more rural state and not a big city that drops to around $950-$1,000. If he’s been living in the same place since before 2020, his rent/mortgage could be way less than that.

Anecdotal I know, but I bought in 2017 before the boom and my mortgage on a two story 5 bedroom house built in 95 is only $700. Housing market wasn’t always as fucked as it is now.

It could be the first month without any communication from the dev in literal years, so nobody knows, but it’s not looking great.

Why yall think its abandoned? None a yall not know how long it takes to create content for an update of this size? Or played any real popular games that have real big updates such as PowerVacuum, BADIK, SUMMER HEAT, In a Scent... most of these games arent indy studios theyre usually solo or 2 man teams. All 4 of these games I just named can take over 12mnths even 16-17 mnths aint unheard of for updates these days. Just the sheer size of one these update can be 3-4g. Lets not forget some Devs arent conneced to their PC24/7 writing code. There are loads that work professionally in different industries with actual lives. And LIFE has a funny way of showing up unannounced and fucking with people.

He can't "stop communication" if he's never been much of a talker in the first place. he's always this silent and since he started developing the game, always used show offline.

So no, you're "reasoning" isn't even reasonable.

We're still a few months away from the "abandoned" threshold. His last communication was just over three weeks ago, and I'm guessing we'll get another one at the beginning of May. It's fair to be doubtful, but it's reasonable to say development is still happening.

I don't think the game is anywhere near needing the abandoned tag but you're wrong on this one. He absolutely has stopped communication since last status. No teasers(fair), no status, no wallpaper, no polls, no responding to questions on Discord. That's 23 days with nada which is out of the ordinary for WWG.

I assume it's due to his life issues he mentioned and him not wanting to answer questions he has already answered or doesn't know the answer to himself. Better for him to wait until he has good news to present or something has changed from his last status.

I agree, he probably had some problems regarding his life that are preventing him from releasing the game. Then I don't understand why people think that the game has been abandoned, there should be a notice on the home page of this page specifying that the game has not been abandoned and to be patient

You think anybody is gonna read that? Then ask Dartred or Fayn or any of the old ones here how many People read the Notice about the mandatory uncensored patch when it was still in the OP. It was in BIG BOLD YELLOW LETTERS 3 or 4 different times and People still didn't download it...

I justify this for the newbies, but not that after 50 pages everyone is saying the same things and then I read "but the game has been abandoned?" after many of us are putting the response of the creator of the game who apologizes for the delay and not for having abandoned the game
