Wow, thanks, bro. I haven't seen any constructive information about this game in a while. September 2024 is listed, a year has already passed. Yes, there are indeed some old ideas. Unfortunately, they're not relevant, oops. Nothing has really changed in the fan discussions over the past year. Can anyone name a resource with a specific release date? I really want to play this. Because I like it for what it is, not empty promises. But the author is really great. He did it the way I would have done it myself. He's a great guy. Happy discussions, sir.
For some strange cosmic reason or a cosmic anomaly, a rupture in reality or a black hole's antigravity field... Other authors don't write anything about "what I'm just doing" and disappear for years. They just silently release new products. Shattered Minds, Horton Bay Stories, Lust City 1,2 , Thirsty For my Guest 1.2.3.4, Sexbot 1,2,Away From Home, Simple Days, Fresh Women... should I continue? I sincerely feel sorry for the fans, the game, and the author. But there are moments that defy logic.

I'm still amazed by the fan activity surrounding 1,700 pages of "what if" discussions. A pointless chat that looks like a dating site. Girls who are fans of Hunter, please respond. I have a guy like him on the 40th floor.
You asked for screenshots about the game's progress/the upcoming update, those are what you asked for, they are relevant. The last teaser posted was an animation teaser in May, not years ago. Like just yesterday WWG posted that he's gonna release the game without notice, so there won't be a specific release date, sorry. I don't think any fan in here is super stoked with the way development has gone. I don't know if you're being facetious or not but I'm glad you like the game.

I figured in order to "do it right" and close it with enough quality content (and having been away for so long), he'd split it into two parts. Usually the wrap-up on an AVN is one of the biggest pushes for a developer that I've seen over the years. His original plan as we know was one large finishing update, but after health complications and such a long time away, that seems less approachable from a time perspective.

It'd do him a world of good if he did split - two slightly smaller updates; one before the holidays, and one after the new year. Plus it'd really help with community confidence in the game again, to get something soon even if it's smaller.
With the way PV chapters are, each one is kinda like a TV show episode, with interconnecting plot lines. It might be more trouble than it's worth to try and break it up while having it still make sense.

Let's say hypothetically WWG has 4 weeks of work left, mostly dialogue and coding. Now add maybe a week to figure out how to brake it up. Would you rather wait 3 weeks for half a chapter, or 4 weeks for a complete chapter?

I'd rather wait 4 weeks for 60-70% of a Chapter's worth, then another 4 weeks for the final wrap-up, assuming they are both decently sized and close the story properly without missing anything. So yes - break it up, deliver a smaller but still significant chunk in a month. The final closure needs more time IMO.

Mostly I think any size content soon would go a long way to help fans (in 2025). If that complete wrap-up of everything is stuffed into 4 weeks, I'm afraid it may be a rushed ending which no one wants. The game is decent enough to deserve being finished properly, with a good effort and good content to send it to completion. From that perspective, yes - break it up into two updates, both ~60-70% of a prior chapter's size of content. Finish the game with a bang, but deliver something this year.

I'm not sure you got my point. Based on WWG's past history, his workflow is to first write the story for a chapter, then create the visuals, then write character dialogue and coding. The story and visuals are apparently already done. If he were to split up the chapter now, he'd have to decide which parts of the already written (and rendered) story to leave out, while trying to ensure that what remained was still cohesive without the missing parts; because again, the "separate" plot lines are usually interconnected. It's probably doable, but probably not worth it.

No, I got it. I'm suggesting that if he waits until 2026 for the final chapter, or it feels rushed as a result of releasing it completed in 2025, it'll hurt more than help. I don't care about another week to break it into two updates - at least there would be 2025 content, which I believe the PV fans sorely want and need.

He's going to do what he wants, either way. Which as has been stated: I'll release it when I want to, no warning. I think that's another mistake, but it is what it is.

I'm harboring doubts about how complete the final chapter will be as well, after being gone so long. A lot of devs would simply want to be "done with it", and track records in those instances show that things are typically rushed and not fully fleshed out. Time will tell.
