The new version 12 (mac) does not start. I tried a new game, it doesn't work. Running old saves does not work.

Can anyone tell me what the problem is?

Probable causes:
the Unix executive inside the app is missing its execute permission. Fixable with the chmod command.
Game has been quarantined by Gatekeeper. Fixable with the xattr command.

As this is a beta, I have not yet bothered to look into it.
