Are you really comparing a multi million dollar game from an experienced studio, with dozens of employees (including ones paid specifically to interact with the community) communicating to the people who actually funded the project. To a porn game made by Joe Blow, working on his first solo project when he's not at his day job, communicating on a forum that pirates his game for free?

If you're upset with a dev you support. It's perfectly fair to say why you're upset and even pull that support if you want.

If you're some random fuck on a pirate website, hurling insults at a dev who's kind enough to keep people on said pirate site informed on what's going on with his game. Then ya. That's abuse. And abuse that drives away most every dev from communicating on this site.

You're free to do it. But that freedom comes at the cost of not having the devs talk to users on this site.
At least not for long.
You are definitely on your high horse. A dev blog doesn't take much effort at all, and the employees paid to communicate with their fans likely dont even dent 1% of the money they've made. I have seen indie devs do more, with less, and with even less fans and help. But this is the opinion of devs here with zero accountability: an ego and a easy paycheck. There is a reason those devs continue to fail and prop up, regardless of the "abuse" they receive.

And quite frankly, F95 is the best way for devs to garner attention and support for porn games. Many devs have already been successful because of that fact. I don't support the people who are overly hostile, but being honest, for every dev with good intentions, there are a million devs putting lack luster effort, attaching patreons and making easy side money and ditching their project in a couple months. What would happen if I were to start a kickstarter and release an indie game like that? Many people would want their money back and be angry. It is no different here. All it takes is communication and respect, something many people lack, especially here.

Are you just talking about adult game developers generally, or about WWG specifically? If generally, then we might be getting off topic. If specifically, then I don't think you have a concept of how much money WWG makes from this.

The NTR scenes are supposedly not canon to the story so if you turn of the NTR all you are left with is a kinetic novel

Because it's basically an entirely linear visual novel where choices pretty much only affect whether or not you see one of the Bad-Ends

I clearly remember bein able to avoid scenes depending on choices I made.
You can... Those are the Bad End choices that you can avoid and continue along the story.

Can I ask something? Is the futa genre avoidable?
Yes. In the main game the futa content is only in 3 bad ends which are all avoidable. What if 8 is exclusively Futa content. All the futa content is also futa on girl.

Make sure to install the patch before playing.

WWG floats at around 5k a month. He lives in the US. even if he pays the guy minimum wage, his "employee" will eat most of, if not all of WWG's earning. So you obviously don't know what you're talking about. How you think it will only take 1% of WWGs earning is crazy. I noticed you used "employees" with an S. You think WWG can pay for one, let alone multiple employees lol.

There are a few bad ends that are fully avoidable, though there are some scenes that are about one of the characters playing a game (a full parody, they even have kinda disneylooking models to mark a clear divide) and those scenes are not avoidable, don't know what would be your opinion on that but there is some unavoidable futa scenes.

Developers, especially the ones who go into making porn games, tend to not be the greatest with people skills--and are especially bad when they're feeling defensive/behind schedule/stressed. While I fully agree that being better at communicating/marketing yourself makes you a more successful dev, I think you have an unrealistic image of what these developers are like and what "employees" they have.

More importantly, Patreon is an " ," not a commissioning platform. If you don't believe me, try asking Patreon for a refund when an artist doesn't deliver. They'll tell you to ask the artist and wish you good luck. You're supposed to use Patreon to say, "I like what you're doing and I want to help you keep doing it so I can hopefully see more." It sucks when the artist you're supporting is late or burns out before finishing what you wanted to see, but that's art and, if you're throwing money at them with the expectation that they owe you something, that's on you; you're setting yourself up for heartbreak and anger.

Finally someone on this site who understands the concept of patronage.

hhahaha so funnny man, compare then with undertale or stardew valley, games with only one person in charge, you r a joke defending this things, is simple, u have a job, u have a project and there are people paying u for this project, u have to be profesional and worth the patreon, no excuses. We have to pay for every shity dev asking patreon since version 0.1, u have to love yourself a bit more... well a lot more in your case

Wait I'm confused are you saying this dev sucks because of the undertale or stardew valley devs? Stardew valley doesn't even do regular updates like patreon devs. He released a finished product for sale and then would occasionally drop an update with stuff people asked for or just add more stuff to do. It's not really comparable here, it would be more like Whatwhygames dropping wallpapers and what ifs with these characters after the game is complete. Also Stardew valley dev was sponsored by his publisher. He did most of the work alone but his he was actually paid by a video game company while making the game instead of relying on donations. It's really not similar to this game at all, in terms of scope or development. Also I'm pretty sure game development is concernape's fulltime job now unlike most patreon devs.

I don't know enough about undertale to talk about it but stardew valley is not similar to this at all. Also you dont really seem to understand what patreon is.
