I used to be so anti-NTR I may or may not have gotten multiple warnings on another account for rage-baiting NTR fans into tirades and responding with my own among other similarly misdirected shenanigans. Definitely some self-inserting going on(No subtext), which I generally think is the purpose of any form of story-telling to a point and porn games to an even more extreme degree-given the high levels of escapism and power-fantasies they typically aim for. The only medium that really rivals that RN is Manhuas and I'd argue they go even further than most porn games but I digress-the point is they fill a need and the need they fill is more repressed/judged by society than many if not any others so it makes sense that those without awareness who're trying to fill that need would lash out at anything they perceive as threatening it and that effect compounds and snowballs with forums like this till you have people on both sides who won't or can't see their own complexes/biases at play and they start fighting endlessly without realizing they're basically filling the same need just with apparently diametrically opposed ways of fulfilling it.I definitely have never changed the male MC's name in every game i play...definitely
Anyway once I dealt with my bullshit and acknowledged my bias I was able to see things more evenly and now I might not necessarily play ntr games/paths the way I do other games I do still play them occasionally and just change the way I insert myself into them(Again no subtext) since avoiding insertion entirely is impossible-much like living in Sterling/Hunter's house-and I certainly no longer see the point in trying to judge people who like it or drag a game just because it has NTR unless it's totally unavoidable/unexpected and/or ruins the vibe of the game which I think is a reasonable distinction to make for any type of media.

Yeah i get you i think a lot of NTR enjoyers are reluctant to discuss where their satisfaction derives from when playing ntr games even on an anonymous forum site in fear of being labeled the infamous "C" word lol. I think a lot of that comes down to the ability to separate fiction from reality. Just because one enjoys a taboo element found in a porn game does not mean they yearn for or that they promote such things in real life, where you have to deal and take into account, not only your own, but other's REAL emotions and feelings. Also i would like to add that those who criticize others for having a certain "fetish/kink" are a very small minority in my experience. But apart from the whole fetish shaming aspect i think nowadays the animosity shared between NTR and non-ntr enjoyers just comes down to a simple issue of how the developer allocates their time when creating the game. You see half saying he should spend more time making canon-vanilla harem content and another half asking for more what-ifs/ntr content and then you got us over here who want it all

true, that's what I said earlier as well. NON-NTR enjoyers are getting less content that they're paying for. If I'm paying for something and certain development time is going towards creating content which I don't like then it wouldn't make sense to support it.
Also, if WWG is saying that the next game won't have NTR; so vanilla/non-ntr fans won't support it, then it's false.
If he finishes this game, I will definitely sub for his next game, I dropped sub post chapter 10 because of story & sex scenes issues. I may sub earlier as well when he starts developing the vanilla epilogues.

If you're genuinely not twisting his words, then you didn't understand what was said. It is not the same as your oft repeated "Vanilla only fans don't get as much content". What he says supports the "I like both" option.

I simply said that we to have to wait for more time for update to release because there is dev time being taken to create content that I don't like in the game [which is also not cannon], both the posts show that.

It's definitely not a closet fetish.I think a lot of the contrast for vanilla enjoyers might come in that NTR often includes non-consensual elements that are far more uncomfortable to most and seem to devalue or demean the girls involved.
