That's the strangest part. WWG's productivity has been pretty consistent for a long time.

Did he get writer's block? Is he unsatisfied with the ending? Is this an epic troll, one final meta joke in his genre parody?

Some say he's dragging it out to milk supporters, but that would surprise me because he's been planning his next game for years. Not to mention the post-game epilogues he's talked about for PV, there should be enough content coming to keep supporters onboard. Maybe he's burnt out and is essentially taking a paid vacation before jumping back into development?

Could he be telling the truth, and has just had bad luck with his health or whatever? I'm not sure anymore. :(

I'm almost certain it's a combination of writers block, burnout and real life health issue.

The tag doesn't mean much of anything, doesn't affect the game, nor the develoepr.

I disagree. This site greatly boosts adult games. Most people don't find new games outside of sites like this. I don't think it will impact the game or WWG because he's already ruined his reputation outside the people who have formed a para social relationship due to his game making them cum good. But he absolutely wouldn't have gotten as big as he did without this site and others exposing people to his work

That's what I've been saying/thinking for awhile now it's gotta be a perfect storm of several different shitty things.

If he was purely trying to milk people he could've done it so much better in various different ways. He hasn't been super generous with how much information he's given us but he has been(In my opinion) largely honest about the information he has given us. Why do I think that? Because 90% of what he's told us has really just pissed everyone off; if he really wanted to manipulate he could've just told extravagant lies and he's certainly capable of thinking of them(No writer that writes the way he writes/as creatively as he writes hasn't had experience crafting believable lies/stories-it's generally how most start writing) and his patrons/etc would certainly buy it because I've seen many more fall for much less in the way of manipulation.

I really think something serious happened to him mid-March(Or an issue got far more serious then) and ever since he's been doing a balancing act between thinking he can push through it and trying not to-possibly literally-kill himself in the attempt.

To be clear I do think he's being a bit of dick in how he's handled things(because if I believe he could've done worse to us I must also believe he could've done better) but more than that I think it's not crazy to imagine he's got legit concerns. Because let's not pretend this is a normal, run-of-the-mill time we're living in. Half the world is on fire/being bombed/about to be bombed, multiple major countries are falling apart at the seams and the united states in particular is losing all semblance of law/order and could very likely either collapse or slide further into the fascist oligarchy it's currently become and I know it doesn't hit everybody the same but he could have been majorly effected by a litany of issues caused by that or has serious, life-threatening concerns resulting from any number of things and speaking as someone who's undergone similarly shitty, forcibly life-changing circumstances the last thing you want to do is share everything about it with a bunch of people who lack either the intelligence to comprehend it and/or the empathy to give a fuck about it. Because even if he did share everything and it was reasonable we all know aloooooot of people, especially on here, would say the exact same lame, tired BS they've been saying this whole time. Because regardless of what he did or didn't tell us(He was shot by the police/military, loved ones deported, he got cancer, etc) people would still find a problem with it and the trolls/vultures would descend because, ultimately most don't care about the truth, they want to write their own and shoehorn it into every possible conversation-hence the world as we see it now.

this game is also following the same pattern which other game followed before getting " abandoned "
one of which is "the update will be out by the end of this month" :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

The thing that worries me is that he said "my energy levels have been low since the MAIN surgery but it's improving". He did say he wasn't in any danger in March but wtf could it be that requires a main surgery and then follow up procedures? Just hope it's something minor.

If there is indeed a surgery, it's not because the game is labelled abandonned here that the devs actually abandonned. I'm just giving the benefit of the doubt here, don't get your hopes up. I've only seen devs coming back once or twice and it's still a very bad sign to hopefully give a wake up call to paying patreons. We're just a bunch of leech to some devs and far from their first concern.
