Really the only issue I've had with how wwg has handled this whole ordeal is the lack of information in regards towards the issues he's been facing health wise that impact the development. I'm not on the Discord so I'll be extremely charitable and say he's been updating the members on there each step of the way, but he really should've been more vocal on patreon instead of just springing things up each time a possible deadline approaches.

His last delay or two delays ago (who can keep track), he said his health issues went back as far as December. If he would've said that immediately months before anyone even expected the update, a lot more people would've been inclined to believe him. Instead he said he was working hard through the holidays, and then backtracked on that later after a delay or two. If he had been up front and honest from the get go, if he has actually had health issues, he probably would have a lot more leeway with most.

I don't know WWG's age, but from his jokes and references I'm guessing he's in his 40s. Being of similar age, I know from experience that random medical issues start to occur more frequently, even to relatively healthy people. That might be hard for younger people to appreciate. Perhaps I am biased, but all I'm saying is I wouldn't dismiss the possibility that WWG is telling the truth.

Lold, I'm also in my 40s and had a fucking crazy life, and yes, it's true the body starts dismantling itself, but NOT to the point of not being able to work in front of a computer. We're not talking about brick laying or roofer... And yet, also the amount of devs who end with medical problems it's fascinating and convenient, to say the least...

I invested in the game because the games good, then I stopped when WWG started delaying and talking shit to everyone on this site before he deleted his profile (you weren't here simping yet for that). I have a monetary investment in this game so yeah I'll finish it. I'll also call out WWG for what he is.

Trust me he'll "forget" to pause his Patreon billing one of these months, and once he's called out he'll ask for refunds knowing everyone won't submit it. That's why he's already ahead of the game and telling everyone "oh no dumb patreon is making me remember to pause billing each month". Book it.

Don't see any reason to mention it unless you think it will come up later. Patron's don't even need to know this feature exists unless it screws them over. This screams he's planning to "forget" to pause it in the coming months and will point everyone back to that post and say "see this is so dumb from Patreon, message me for a refund".

To play devil's advocate MAYBE there's a world where he's so sick it accidentally gets forgot about, and he thinks that could happen so he's getting ahead. But in my opinion with his pension for dishonesty/half truths/whatever you want to call it, he doesn't deserve that benefit of the doubt.

Maybe because some of us understand how the entertainment industry works, and lowering the bar ends being a BAAAAAD THING for everyone, from users to developers. This happens IN ALL entertainment industries and the effects are devastating. So yeah, some of us care about adult games don't go to fucking hell, as has already happened in other branches of entertainment business...

ha! saw it coming miles away ... but still he could have released the unfinished beta version ... community could have helped him finish the last bit of technical stuff, if artwork was already finished, looking at the updates over the year seems like it ... its a last chapter, matter of finding the closure, its really frustrating how he handled things.

If he actually has a life threatening illness and hasn't informed his patrons that there is a chance he doesn't come back online ever its very irresponsible to not let people know especially with patreon needing to manually paused each month.

Who says the other updates didn't take a year to release? i never said that. I agree that the last update also took a year to release because that's a fact.

The part you're not understanding is that games take time to develop. That last update took a year to make, because it was the biggest update to be released. If you followed this thread, you know this age old argument that every update is bigger then the one before it and that takes time to make.

The difference between last update and this one is, last update wasn't delayed, it just took 1 year to make. You think games can be released monthly or something? those monthly release games take minutes to complete the playthrough of the update, but PV takes a few hours on the later updates because of how big they get.

People are ignoring this very important and integral part that is missing, the details.

Fact remains, nobody from the most respected high tier donators to the unresourceful thread lurkers has any idea whats going on with the update, not about what has already been completed nor what parts are left undone.

Yes, the last reports are filled with general information about the status of devs health and appreciation of the faithful community that encapsulates this whole controversial period, but still not a single word about the process that's pushed to a halt since 4 months ago, and that is the sole motivator for rising suspicion, nothing else.
