I dunno, if you count the epilogue updates which apparently are or were in the plans after the games ending than I would say we are far from the finish line.So close to the finish line and then boom
That aside I do agree that it sucks that life throws that of a curveball at the dev at the height of peoples anticipations. Myself included but honestly I would have waited until the epilogues were finished anyway before I started playing the last chunk of the game. Just to have the full experience.
I just fear that with this long of a recovery brake the motivation and inspiration of the dev plummets to the ground. For example just pushing out the last update but then axing the epilogues. Which would be a shame because in them we would have possibly got pregnancy content which I really like.
What I am saying is that returning to a project after a longer duration of time it's very difficult to get into the flow again. Be it ideas, scenes, writing or general motivation.
Anyway I wish the dev all the best and a steady recovery and I just hope for the best that the dev sticks the landing after his return.
