That's the general theme of the story yes.

That the only reason why Sterling is the hero to begin with and Hunter the villain is because he's the POV character, and we justify it by his physical attributes vs Hunter's ugliness of aspect and character.

I broke two vertebrae in my spine and needed a portion of my skull cut open to allow cerebral fluid to drain that was causing my brain to press against it and the recovery for that with PT was six months. I don't know whats happened to WWG thats taken him out for almost a year now but it must be life threatening or repeated surgeries on the same thing that isn't getting better.

they create a game make some updatesget some money from paetron, abendonn a game...
they need money again ( new hardware comes out, or a blockbuster game what ever )
they do a rework
and a rework from a rework from a rework from a rework.
than they abendonn it again

90% of all devs are fakes.u can see it if u watch closely what kind of games landing on the site atm , most them are AI games from the same dev groub havin 100 games swirling arround and using 100 different dev anmes and paetron sites ..

this dev never made a few updates then took breaks on and off. This game never got a rework. Then game has never been abandoned. the guy you quoted said he doesn't know what happened to this dev and you responded with this, so i can only assume you meant this dev.

The dev is doing the forgotten Drew x Mallory brunch scene, thats why its taking so long time. Drew buy a big sausage to brunch for Mallory.

If he was still collecting money from Patreon I could see that, but I don't think there's any author who would refuse money just because they can't come up with a good ending. Without mentioning that lying about health issues would be a pretty shitty thing to do and would nuke his reputation beyond repair for no real reason.

This game actually went through something like that, BP couldn't come up with a good ending for all the paths he had, reworked the art for the ending scenes over and over again until he simply abandoned it and went radio silent. He's still pausing billing monthly despite having not touched his F95 account or made a patreon post since 2023. So at the very least there's that, which is nice in a sea of scummy devs.

I've said this/something similar several times and I don't think a majority of those who visit the thread without context get it but if WWG really wanted to milk/manipulate their audience he could've done it in such a more effective way. Like any negative accusation other than stalling for time is super easily explainable so as much as a petty part of me wants to think dude is being either malicious of manipulative in not releasing the ending I can confidently say he has no reason to behave this way other than to be honest about his current state. He's being straight up, I assume, it's just a sucky situation.

It would be a bit surprising if WWG had writer's block. I don't recall him having it before, kind of the opposite actually, when he was turning around What Ifs relatively quickly.

That said, I think writer's block could be a factor. I think he may have had a general idea for a while about the ending, but as the story evolved he may be rethinking it.

He didn't have a writers block, but there was that 1 time when he scrapped the script for 1 chapter because he didn't like how he wrote it. So he delayed that chapter for 1 month to rewrite it.

that's the closest thing i can think of writers block for WWG.
