Man, I was just about to say the same thing. I love this game but it was pretty short.

This seems like it would benefit from a schedule of less frequent but more substantial updates because it just feels like barely anything is happening in each update and this story/concept has so much potential.

Because the devs are smart enough to realize that that's the audience that has cash to spend on patreon?
Some college kid that can barely afford his daily pack of instant noodles isn't going to spend monthly on porn games.

If you want teenagers/college kids MCs, there are plenty of games around.

There is no kink shaming from our side, but big platforms are very touchy about the subject, so we need to keep balance between what is allowed and what we want

Thanks for your support! As of now, this schedule is comfortable for us, but we are also new to this and still figuring this out. We think that players who want big updates may wait for more updates and then play all of them at once. Another reason is that doing more frequent updates allows us to bump the thread up here on f95 and get new eyes on the game. It is our only "marketing" channel (though we got a couple of new ideas from a player earlier today) and since we are not in a mainstream niche, we need all the exposure we can get.
As someone who prefers larger updates I don't skip updates, no matter how small, because I want to know what happens next. In addition there are developers who update every 3-6 months who are able to stay relevant because of the story/plot and quality of product. Pumping out short updates that don't really satisfy or go anywhere can also frustrate your audience.
Obviously this is your game so you do what you think is best. However, the more content there is then the more there is to discuss.

Interesting perspective. Of course it gets demolished as an argument when you look at the most popular games (both here and Patreon) and see that the vast majority of them have young adult/college kid MC...
The actual reason can be found right on the next post. It has a middle aged MC because it would be weird asf to be younger considering some of the relationships between characters when patched.

Diversity is good : young MC, middle aged MC, male MC, female MC, different kinks, things needs to cater to all tastes even though not all tastes cater to everyone
I think once a month is a good schedule, udpates would be a bit more substantial. A lot of people when they see an update want to play it and get disappointed if it's too short. You have to restrain yourself to wait for multiple updates before playing, not everyone have that patience. If your game's not good you won't get more support anyway even with a daily update (it's could even be the opposite)

Tried this one out, and I love the premise behind it, where a character can control/influence (that's not the MC) based on her own feelings. But I have a few minor quips with what I played:
It's been mentioned in the reviews before, and I'm sure in this thread but the dialogue is, well...bad. I understand that maybe they're trying to include humor or trying to make the younger characters seem "current" with trends, but it's just not good. Overuse of several meme-like words, some of which are already dated and out of "style" completely destroy the experience of the VN. There were several times I just wanted to exit the VN, but I ended up clicking faster trying to get through it (the diner scene is one for example).
Dialogue like that only detracts from the story and can REALLY ruin a moment (e.g. the couch scene after the funeral).
Secondly, personally I don't find Tilly or the Ex wife models all that attractive. It's personal preference of course, but if Tilly is to be the main LI for the VN, it's hard to attach myself to the character visually. I wouldn't expect "super model" type of visuals, and I like how they're trying for a more "realistic" visual of the cast, but it's not my cup of tea for those two models.
Also, I'm getting serious Fatal Attraction Vibes from Tilly, I half expect this VN to turn into a horror story and seeing some boiling rabbit scene. She's overly attached, obviously dangerous, with a child-like mindset and the MC, regardless of choice seems to just go along with it, it's hard to believe that the MC is actually 41 with how he acts.
Overall it's a great premise, the renders are solid, the story is solid, and with some dialogue changes, and possible Tilly character personality changes this could be a stand out VN. I'll keep an watchful eye on this one.

I agree with some of the points...but I don't agree with anything that would change the story that the dev is telling...
The dialogue ya....actually not the dialogue but the overuse of slang...can't remmeber what was that annoying word...that annoyed the fuck out of me ...but I wrote it in a earlier post...can check that if you want.
Tilly is attractive...at least from my POV , alot of these games you have a char with tits bigger than my chest and head and with a face so plastified that you start to wonder how the fuck is she alive...Tilly..is a more realistic version of a woman...I think she is quite beautifull...but again that's my POV and I know and am sure also that 95% of people will not agree with my POV which a o fucking kay
...it would be pretty boring if everyone had the same oppinion.I'm not really getting that vibe (Fatal Attraction) more like...a girl/womans first real love and she doesn't know how to act ...plus with the whole bully/abuse past that she had in the last couple of years it's kinda normal that she acts that way and those feelings are enhanced 1000%...since she found someone that accepts her for who she is and doesn't want to lose that...at least again that's my POV.
About the MC's behaviour I can't say I found it....childish...but then again...different oppinion...but for the sake of this discussion let's say it is childish....maybe her power influence him on a subcunsion level...a deeper level than the one that is displayed atm, maybe that is the answer.
It is a great VN ..to bad it's on the short side...but I don't want for the dev to change anything in the story...and even in the dialogue...just tone down the overuse of meme's and slang.
Keep up the good work dev..the only "complaint" I have is really small updates...but I'm thankfull for whatever update we get...no matter the size...
I only played the first release of the game because the updates were too small for me to check out, but from what I have seen I say the only character that is beautiful is the MC's boss Gloria.

I don't think the story needs changing, as I've said, it's an intriguing premise, but the dialogue is what needs a serious rework. I see your point regarding Tilly and her actions, but it's just a vibe I kept getting, where she looks as if she'll hurt you (if you reject her) or anyone who comes between you (MC) and her.

well the dialogue is basically ...80% of the story...but I do as I said I do agree with you that it needs...tweaking..overuse of meme's and slang...it's tiring.
So..yes change a bit...of the dialogue...but don't change it 180 degree.,..more like..instead of a meme every 2 phrases...1 meme every..5 ...that's just an example..it's not by any means what is happening in the VN ...just a example...basically at least increase the gap betwen the usage of memes.
EDIT : even with what I proposed I'm not really comfortable because in a way it would change the story ...at a certain level...

So, I think I need to explain a bit here:
By changing the dialogue I meant the expressions used (e.g. slang/memes etc). Not the actual story they're telling, there are ways to get the message across without using "Highkey", "fam" and so on every other sentence. There was another Vn on here that used "legit" nearly every 5 words, it became tiresome and I had to just stop playing because it ruined the dialogue.
I would suggest just to avoid memes and dated terms all together if they're trying to get a story (specially one like this where there's drama and a serious tone to it) told to the players. Using meme's and terms that are "of the time" or dated won't age well in a written story.

But like I said the dev needs to tell the story as he wants otherwise it's not his story anymore.
I do agree on a certain level...but not avoid using them...more like tone down..
But with that being said ...I agree with you on most of the points ^_^
