Chapter 5 Release
Hello everyone! Here is the Chapter 5 release! You'll find Windows/Linux, Mac OS X, and Android builds linked below. You're in for a ride, so I hope you're ready for it!
Dev Note:
This chapter concludes Act 1 of 6, so we're officially 1/6th of the way through the story! We're finally getting into the meat of the first major arc, so expect lots of drama and cliffhangers in this and the next few chapters.
EDIT: Maria groping animation from Chapter 4 is known to be borked, I'll fix it post-honeymoon. Sorry!

I think there are two "wholesome" missing, after all we are now on chapter 5, one for each chapter.

On a technical aspect I really like Pandamans updates because they actually feel like discrete episodes with a solid beginning middle end unlike some authors where its like a random mashup of what you will get. Feels like watching TV (in a good way). Makes following his game update to update fun rather than "oh I'll bank 5-6 updates then come back".
Not the best update but it set the stage for a lot of things to fall into place so it'll be interesting to see where it goes from here.

First time I am playing this and the text is horrible. Color wise I mean. White on a light tan background? even filling the opacity doesnt help much. This needs to be fixed.
EDIT: Nvm, guess you can fix it in prefs. Don't usually go there in games unless I have to so didnt know.

This update was quite good. I didn't expect the story to take that particular turn, but I enjoyed it nonetheless.

Panda, the update is fantastic. I did not see the latest twist coming, although you've been dropping breadcrumbs. It opens up all sorts of personal and political conflicts, given the nature of the society that the main characters hail from. Plus you have, in effect, introduced superpowers... which come with a price attached to using them (finally, the title of your game makes sense)... as well as a new character with dubious motivations and doubtful intentions. Given the narrative skill you've shown so far, I am confident that you will continue to lead us on a merry chase.
I'm already a supporter of yours, and will consider boosting my contribution. You have redeemed my confidence. This is a better written and plotted adult game than 99% of what's out there.

Man, you are knocking it out of the park with every update. You've gone above beyond in proving my initial skepticism on some aspects of the game wrong, and you seem to maintain rather high standards of pretty much everything.
Seriously, just excellent work, definitely going to be recommending this to everyone I can, whenever I can.

Indeed, this is really top shelf stuff. Easily in the top 10 narrative-driven games ever posted on F95.
I agree. Moreover... if the Dev is capable of assembling a narrative that's compelling and surprising, they are probably also capable of writing scenes with real erotic charge as well. Valid general concerns that I can't address without spoiling the whole plot. For what it's worth, Chapter 5 is supposed to feel like there are a ton of unanswered, burning questions left. All I can say for sure is that I definitely didn't take inspiration from CP2077 - I wrote out the idea for this plot a long while ago.
