I think you didn't miss anything.

And there's no difference between the paths (Maria only vs Maria & Emilia) except for a couple of dialogues.

As I recall, the game told us that the early-ish choices of what abilities to improve were only going to be (paraphrasing from memory) "flavor" not choices that would affect anything key in the story.

It's nothing key/super important, but it'll affect some text and a suggestion or two you get for other plot choices (but won't lock you out of anything). It'll be along the lines of "you did x last time, want to do x again?" with the option to either do x or do y.

It's not an error. That's part of the game script. The "Name" having trouble loading is the narrator. This doesn't make sense yet; it will.

Ok. Thank you for that. It's been quite a while since I've played the game and forgot about it.

I like this game but fuck me a lot of the dialogue is repetitive and annoying. Like I'm at the part where they just find out about the fertility plague and the amount of times you felt the need to recap ' Duel, get engaged, discover plague' was way to high.

And the way every conversation is a damn Q and A with the definition of every second word needing to be explained. Like I get it from a narrative/continuity standpoint, but it's bogging down the pace and making the reading experience kind of a slog

Edit; Admittedly I'm coming back to this game for the first time in over a year, so this might be isolated to this scene. But I do recall the conversations between Legacy and the MC to be rather cumbersome due to the necessity of explaining very basic concepts to a rube.

The game size is 6GB, but when I check the changelog, each update only brings about a couple of scenes, so what I want to know is what image format is used here? png, jpg or webp?
Honestly speaking, allocating a couple MBs of storage for an image you'll see only once is kind of wasteful

Imagine coming to a porn game forum to ask about image format and compression. Lossless webp, since you're wondering, and each image averages less than 1MB. When you have ~1MB/image, ~300 images/chapter, and 17 chapters, plus some animations and the Renpy overhead, you get 6ish GB.

this game reads like it is written by a person who has never had any encounters with women or the opposite sex outside of family members.
the dialogue is so cringey and just... awkward.
also taking forever to get to anything doesn't make this game a 'slow burn'. it makes it slow, period.
also hating on americans and being extremely liberally biased and ostentatious about it is off putting. no need to put personal politics into your game.

I think most people agree that while I'm not the best writer out there (Drifty writes circles around me, for example), I'm pretty good at writing reasonable and realistic dialogues between my characters. Have you considered that you may not have ever interacted with a non-familial female? I mean, if everyone is saying that the relationships and people seem pretty realistic, and then you say it's not... It might be you that's mistaken.

Either way, it sounds like this game isn't really for you given that you don't like any part of it at all. Hope you find something more to your liking.

Have you considered that you may not have ever interacted with a non-familial female? I mean, if everyone is saying that the relationships and people seem pretty realistic, and then you say it's not... It might be you that's mistaken.

Either way, it sounds like this game isn't really for you given that you don't like any part of it at all. Hope you find something more to your liking.

you shouldn't give a shit about what he said... considering the setting, it's actually quite progressive that they are having pre-marital sex at all... some people just can't appreciate a good story without people fucking left and right

But I didn't realize it was literally just the choice with no (or no noticeable) scenes that seemed to stem directly from that choice.

Not a hater, I still love the story. I'd just rather wait until another update if it's just more of that.

Emilia takes a bit more the reins, depending on which path you are Marias reaction is diferent, but not much, Is a good Update though story wise, and for the plot.
No steamy sex if that was what you are asking for, more action.
